I have the subject titled item to give away. I will ship it to you for free. If I have given you something before, please do not take this item.

Post here first, before sending a PM, if you want this mount so we can all see who speaks for it first. I will follow up with you via PM.

I will gladly take the Barnes.

Fairly new to MM. Not sure which feature to use to send PM.

TEZ sabot is a MMP HPH-24 sabot in blue. Since its a Barnes bullet which is probably .451 or less you are looking at a .503 loaded OD or very close.

Let us know what loads you try and how it shoots in your ML.
Last week I tested the 250 gr. T-EZ and the Hornady 250 gr. Low Drag SST. I zeroed at 50 yds to make sure I could get on paper. I tinkered with 70-90 gr BH 209 just to get the feel. CCI 209 primer. I’ve used only 100 gr for all but 9 of 50 shots.

Last week at 50 yds I got about 3/4” with the T-EZ and 1/2” with Hornady. The Leupold 3-9x40 VX-Freedom helped me get that grouping. I thought those two sabots went down easier than they should have. Harvester sent me a sample of smooth, black sabots to try. I used them yesterday on the T-EZ ‘s. They zipped out to 100 yds just shy of the 50 yd groups from last week. MMB sent me some (black 12’s?). They fired about the same. Both were tighter when I seated my charge but still comfortable.

For some reason, the SST’s didn’t shoot well with the blacks sabots. Harvester also sent me six 260 gr Scorpion PT to try. They shot pretty much like the Barnes and Hornady. I want to spend more time with the latter to see what level of precision I can get. I’ve seen good terminal performance for both of them.

I never realized until last week that the spectrum of “bullets with matching sabots” was so wide. What I’d like to get feedback on is, which sabots thicker than the T-EZ
blue is a more snug fit without being “too tight?” Other than picking the brains of you sabot gurus is there a resource that is a good reference for educating oneself with sabot/bullet matching?

Since you are still trying to find your bullet/sabot fit, I would be happy to also send you the Harvester sabots I listed to give away in another thread, as they are made for <300 grain bullets. If you don't like them with the TEZ, as they load just a tad tighter than the HPH-24 (Barnes OEM blue), you can try them with other bullets or give them away.

I just mic'ed one of the TEZ bullets:

Bullet: 0.4505" od
Bullet with OEM Blue Sabot (HPH-24): 0.5035" od (length of solo sabot is 0.9685")
Bullet with Harvester Smooth black sabot: 0.504" od (length of solo sabot is 0.8465")

Let me know if you want the Harvester sabots as well.

I’ll pass on the black sabots for now. Just ordered a pack for the T-EZ from MMP. Thanks.
