Yeah it’ll be $250 full retail for the kit. I’m going to post an introductory $75 off code for MM members to use. After some more experimenting, I’ve decided I’ll be adding some wrench flats. But that’s a quick operation. Otherwise ready to go.

I will also be offering Paramounts with kit installed.

done, post the promo code and I will be your first customer this eve.

On a side note, I was curious as to whether the Paramount was truly set up to be able to drop it in any rem 700 BDL stock, and I just happened to have one laying around from an old varmint rifle that I was rebuilding so it had about the right barrel channel dimensions. and well... The action/barrel no prob perfect fit/alignment. The bottom metal is not the same as the standard 700 so you either have to swap with 700 BDL bottom metal or do quite a bit of butchering on your BDL stock to make the Bergara bottom metal fit. Much easier to use the 700 factory BM and just stick a piece of heavy foam rubber or similar in there with some cut outs to hold extra primers and such if desired. I am probably going to swap my stock and lighten the rifle a little over a pound.

Agreed. I just cant get fond of that tactical looking stock on a hunting rifle. The Rem stock in that picture is a Bell and Carlson Police/Varmint/Sendero stock. Its about right for that heavy 45cal barrel. the barrel channel was opened up about 1/8" to fit the last rifle that was in it, and it was almost perfect for the Paramount. Hard to find specs on the Bergara HMR stock by itself but it appears to be 3.9lbs with a drop mag option (without the actual mag inserted) and probably all of the plastic spacers under the recoil pad. (forgot to weigh it when I had it all pulled apart) The B&C is 2.25 lbs. o_O thats better than 1.5lb lighter. It basically offsets most, if not all of the weight of the scope. And because the Bergara has that metal structure up into the forearm area adding weight to the front of the rifle and is balanced with the weight of the cheek rest mechanicals in the rear, when you replace it with something that has neither, it seemed to maintain about the same balance. It really makes the rifle one you could shoot off hand if needed.

Oh and worth mentioning, that Paramount action will not work with an ADL stock. It lacks the small forward screw hole for the ADL trigger guard. It is BDL only.

Yeah I guess that would be fairly simple. I don't really see the need for the hinged compartment on the bottom if you are out pack hunting. You still have to carry extra powder tubes and bullets somewhere so why not just put the extra primers in the same back pack. Or in a different pocket in your jacket, coveralls, overalls (for those in Arkansas) no offence of course. :D With Luke's system I don't expect to need any tool to insert and remove the dumb variflames. On a side note, I ordered a floorplate for the B&C stock I had. When it comes in I will mount it up and snap a couple of pics to post. I will also weigh it before and after for those that want to know. I ordered one of the Bergara HMR drop mag wells too so I can use that Paramount HMR sock on my 6 creed varmint build later this year. It should be about perfect for that.

Hi, I would like to know kow much you are charging for the Paramount w/gen2 installed ? I was about ready to make the purchase on one last wk, Then I chceked out the Knight 500. I saw that for 2180.00 w/nitride finish. What makes that worth over 1K more than the CVA Paramount? Any Why? Is the Knight's 1:18 twist seriously restrict the bullet weights & BC's as well? Then,if one could afford a 2-3K muzzleloader that is a true long-range competitive target rifle & a LR hunting rifle that can hit a prairiedog in the mellon @300 yrds. coyote @500 yrds.& still ethically take down a deer. elk, hog, moose, bear out to 700+ why not go the 3K rt & buy a Hankins Smokeless or his BP's at 2650.00 that seems to semi-affordable ( to us poor folk ) that does it virtually ALL? I am seriously inquiring here. I can only get 1 muzzleloader & I'm going to need it for everything for a good while. I need to hunt as a way of life & food & I Love to shoot & compete. I'd absolutely love to compete in LR muzzleloading. Thanks to all who respond with insight & input. It really is very much appreciated. I already bought a Shephard Scope 5-25x56 34mm FFP IRMOA ret. side focus & Zero locking turrets for 750.00 Its an amazing scope with all the bells & whistles at a great price.

This is getting pretty close to doing sales in the Inline Forum. Lwh723, you should probably just go to the Classified forum and post these up.

I'm not real familiar with the Knight, so really not qualified to comment on price difference. But I'm pretty sure the Knight comes with a high end SKB case. So that's probably like a $200+ adder right there.

A full on custom is a totally different conversation compared to these factory guns. That's not to say some of these factory guns won't shoot lights out, but some will be average at best. The guns I build don't ship unless they're hammers--that's the luxury of a custom.

There's about 0.5% of the shooting world that's qualified to "ethically" take animals at 500+ yards with the these muzzleloaders. Have I shot 1/2 MOA groups to 900 yards, yes. Did it take me 3 shots to figure out the wind, yes. Don't be fooled by the advertising. Anything past 500 yards gets really tricky in a hurry.

I'm pretty sure the gun Hankins gun listed for $2650 is just clickbait. Someone posted on here the other day they tried to buy one, and he said he doesn't offer it anymore.

I posted a link the Paramounts on my website in the classifieds.

Took the Paramount to range today. Didn't have time to mount scope, so was just shooting into dirt bank and function testing. Performance was flawless. Zero leakage as expected.

I had some left over Parker BE's, so used those. They pretty much free fell down the barrel, so wouldn't be a good option.

Also, was talking to Levi at LRCustoms who has been playing with one too. He pulled a barrel off one. Said the threads are metric. Not an issue if you've got CNC, but a pain for the manual lathe guys.

I'm guessing these barrels are .4525 or .453 on average. I don’t have any full bore projectiles here to really test to the thousandth of an inch, but I did have a .40 dead center that I have shot with a light blue crush rib Harvester out of my rifle and a rough measurement on that was .454 with the sabot on the bullet. It loaded fairly easily (firm one hand wrapped around the rod would push it down without too much trouble) The BEs are .451 right? Good to know that the new mods are leak free!

Its odd the barrel would be threaded metric into the receiver. Isn't the breach plug standard english thread? Why mix it up?

make it harder for you to change barrels, Ped. Gibbs is same way but threads are bastard also
