If you currently hunt Colorado, or have any hope to do so in the future, please take a minute to consider signing this petition opposing the introduction of an invasive apex predator in Colorado. Thank you..

To all who may not think this is a BIG DEAL heres some news from Michigan .
These predators are relentless . In our upper penninsula they are there and are now migrated to the lower penninsula as well . Their attacks on the moose and especially deer populations are very severe . DO NOT LET THE TREE HUGGERS DO THIS !!!!!! Ranchers and dairy farms loose an enormous number of calves to wolf predation . The govt. offers no help . Farmers and citizens of michigans upper have been left to fend for themselves using mainly car wash sponges soaked in bacon grease to kill them at their own expence CONSTANTLY !!! Deer fawns are eaten by the thousands as are moose calves in vast numbers too .
In the mid 70's it went on the ballot to re--introduce the coyote to all of michigan statewide . SPORTSMEN DID NOT UNITE AND STOP THIS TRAGETY . Conservation personel could be seen with trucks towing dog field trial type trailers (BIG horse trailers w/ 18in doors with compartments all over each side) statewide releaseing coyote breeding pairs in multiples everywhere . In VERY SHORT ORDER their numbers increased DRAMATICALLY !!!!!!
THIS has DESTROYED southern michigans small game hunting !!! The core of youth to come to know and love all other forms of hunting here. The pheasant is gone and so are the rabbits . Last year i saw trail cam pics taken for 1 WEEK of 1 COYOTE DEN , during the spring birthing time of deer fawns , where 27 DEER FAWNS were killed and brought back to that 1 den to feed litters of yet MORE COYOTE PUPS !!!! In a short walk around that same den 15 more deer skeletons were found !!!!!!

The effects of the WOLF will be MUCH WORSE for Colorado !!!! SAME THING ONLY BIGGER PREDATOR !!!!!!

Pet predation and CHILDREN ATTACKS had been non existant before their release of the coyote .

The coyote can now even be seen DOWNTOWN DETROIT !!!!!!

THE WOLF IS MERELY A BIGGER , STRONGER MUCH WORSE PROBLEM .

Back in earlier times there was/is a town called Romulus here in S Michigan . The area had many wolves and in fact "romulus" is latin (scientific name) for the wolf . There is a sign on the cemetary here that tells of 2 wk or longer fires around the clock on top of graves so the dead would not be dug up and eaten from 6 ft under !!! They also were guarded with gunmen in pairs so as not to be overcome !!!!!

Our forefathers did their best to hunt them down and attempt to drive them to extinction in America . They werent cruel , uncareing , nor STUPID !!!

Guys , join that PETITION AND GET INVOLVED !!!! DONT LET THE WOLF IN !!!!!!!
Thank you for your time and support

Wolves have made a DEVASTATING Mess out of Idaho, We use to have a THRIVING Moose Population here in Unit 1, you could EASILY count 20 Moose on a Short Evening Drive, Now Days you are DARN lucky if you see 3 or 4 Moose an ENTIRE year here, EXTREMELY SAD deal to see such a GIANT Resource go nearly to Extinction!! Elk hunting up here is a JOKE, The Moose and Elk Have Taken a HORRIBLE BEATING here!!

You better Hope they don’t get in Colorado like they have here in Idaho, you will have NOTHING left in the End EXCEPT Wolves

Incredible isnt it that this would even be proposed . Our forefathers werent stupid nor wrong in their efforts to exterminate the coyote , wolf , , or big cats . It is tragic these efforts sre so easily lost to time and ignorance !!!

100% agree with everything said so far! We have a terrible wolf issue in northern MN also. They have pretty much eliminated our moose population. Deer numbers are way way down also. Our deer lease is 350 acres for 10 hunters. It used to be you would see 7-10 deer per day, now I have not even seen a deer in 2 years! And thats in about 10 days of hunting and all the grouse hunting also... Haven't seen a one! We have id guess 30 cameras throughout the woods and we get more pictures of wolves than we do of deer the last 5 years. We had a wolf season a few years ago but the tree huggers in Minneapolis and Washington shut that down. You hear of people that are just gut shooting the wolves when they see them so they run off and die. We need to bring back the season to control the numbers just like any other species.

I pray Colorado doesn't introduce those killing machines and ruin their herds too!

Michigan's UP has suffered financially terrible. Hunters used to flock to the UP to hunt just about everything and in doing so, spent a lot of money which helped all the local economies. Now only the die hard "camp hunters" make the trip, more or less just to get away and drink a few beverages. Nobody takes bird dogs to the UP to hunt grouse anymore. It is almost a guarantee your prized bird dog will be killed by wolves.

EXACT SAME thing as here in Idaho with the Hound Hunters, Guy’s have lost their ENTIRE pack of Hounds to Wolves. When a Hound/Hounds Start a Bobcat, Cougar, Bear Track, They Bark as they Run the Track, This is a “DINNER BELL” to Wolves, They Rush in and annihilate the Dogs, the Hounds Don’t stand a Chance

You folks in Colorado might want to follow the money that is supporting the organization that is pushing for reintroduction of wolves. It might give you an idea of their true motive. Maybe they just want to see them frisking through the woods, but I doubt it.I hunt in Michigans thump. Over the last ten years coyote numbers have exploded. Our trail cams show almost as many yotes as deer. This spring, between flooding(we found drowned fawns) and yotes, our fawn numbers are way down, and I've yet to see a button buck this fall. We need a bounty put back on coyotes. To bad it will never happen. In Michigan, decisions that should be based on solid science are made by the NRC (Natural Resources Commission) who are political appointees, and are slaves to the lobbyists. There are certain lobbies that would like to see every whitetail dead.

Yea and that bunch is in bed with anti--2nd Amendment commies , the true goal , the purpose , their dream of 1 world govt . . No need for guns with no game . Too bad it is evil in charge....relentlessly

im an avid beagler, and have been for a while. I have met a few people through beagles that have become good friends. we used to go to the U P of mich to run the snowshoe hare but no more. actually, I knew a lot of guys that would go up there for the same purpose and I don't think too many go up there for that anymore. I've seen pictures of hounds that were killed, sometimes as many as 9 at a time. the people of Michigan can't hunt them, its all a political mess. I can't understand why anybody would want these killing machines in there state!

There is a significant track record regarding what to expect after wolves become established. It simply defies logic and calls into question more sinister and some would say, rather obvious motives.
I personally believe the "real" reasons are clear but I am in the minority...

Turn some GIANT KILLING MACHINE Predator loose on your Native Wildlife, seems like a Real Fair Thing to do huh?

These are Different critters than the Old Native Idaho Wolf, it is my understanding these are a Hybrid of Sort? Just do a Google Search on Idaho Wolves. These things have DEVASTATED This Country.

Not my pics, but are from here

Damn, those things are huge...
All muscle and attitude too . The hyena , wolf , and the coyote are the only 3 creatures that will regularly eat their prey while still alive . How would you like to be surrounded by a pack of them ???

I've definitely seen a big drop in mule deer numbers in Idaho, directly correlating to the introduction of wolves. And I've seen one at least as big as what Idaholewis posted. Think 3 to 4 times the mass of a very large German shepherd. Somewhere, I have a picture of a wolf track as long as a dollar bill.

I totally disagree with you, its totally wrong to try to exterminate any naturally occurring species of animal, man is the one who has caused all problems relating to any animal.. Before us they were pretty much self regulating, the only reason most people care about what wolves do is because it effects the bottom line, less animals for them to kill..I'm no tree hugger by a long shot but we shouldn't blame the wolves, coyotes or cougars for doing what they were put here to do.. We are the only species that kills for sport besides maybe a housecat or mink/weasal in hen house.

If the tree huggers would stay out of the equation so a controlled hunt could take place without all the sniveling, the wolves could be managed in decent numbers. That would be the best of the two worlds. I know in Minnesota there are people making meatballs of venison with razor blades inside. They freeze these and toss them along side wolf trails. Wolves are gulpers so the meatballs are swallowed whole. They melt and one knows the rest of the story. I know hunters shoot and shut up too. The self control methods are the travesty but people are fed up with losing their wildlife to the wolves and nobody doing anything about it. All northern tier states have a second wolf source in Canada. When the food stores up there drop and wolves are hungry they migrate across the border. These are more than likely "winter" wolves but they're here killing when the wildlife is at the disadvantage with snow and cold.

Here in the SE corner of the state we haven't seen much intrusion from wolves....yet. However, I have seen two dead ones along a major highway down here in recent years. And straight east of Rochester along I90 near Madison Wisconsin where Fort McCoys military base is located, there are three confirmed packs. That's only 150 miles and wolves will swim great distances if they chose to, so the Mississippi River isn't much of a barrier. Northern suburbs of the Twin Cities have had confirmed sightings of wolves. All this indicates that the wolf population is expanding southward so I have no doubt that they'll become problematic in this area within a few years. The feds will really have their hands full if nothing is done to stop this spread because farmers and hunters down here WILL be raining pure hell about it, protection or not. The coyotes are bad enough, but wolves will probably get blitzed on sight.

Anybody who would kill any animal with razor blades no matter what the case is a A#@hole in my book..hunters need to lobby for controlled hunts or do whatever is necessary to get them, just shooting them on sight and not saying anything isn't going to solve the problem other then get you arrested/fined if caught which does/will happen, plus run the risk of losing hunting privileges for life.
While I wouldn't want the deer/elk herd decimated by wolves neither would I want to see them exterminated.. we have tons of coyotes and more and more Bobcats here, and if they do damage to the wildlife its more then likely caused from Farmers/people tearing out every available fence row/small weed patches to get more ground..
When I was a kid there were fence rows/weed patches full of rabbit/quail for fox/coyotes to hunt now pretty much zero so they now hunt fawns/turkeys and your house pets instead.. not the animals fault its our fault, animals dont kill any more then is necessary for them to survive but if we make it to where they are cutting into the animals we want to hunt then its on us not them, just a thought but maybe we need to cut back on hunting seasons so the wolves/coyote, cougars etc have more to eat..not like we have to hunt to survive, but they do..
I love to hunt/fish as much or more then anyone been doing it for 50 yrs but if it came to exterminating a species just so I could have a Elk or deer to hunt then I will gladly give it up.

This is all I'm going to post about the subject because we all have our opinions and Ive stated mine.
