Debated on what section to share this: here or Hunter success?
Since it’s more about the load than the harvest - here.
Young shooter (good shooter) from Friendship was intrigued with my bullet 45- 540gr GG HP and how it won the TN in-line: sub-sonic. We discussed both Spring & Fall shoot with text messages for months.
Fast forward- I get a text from him this week.
“Got it done sub-sonic from 175yds”

190lb field dressed Indiana 9 point.
Note the 2” exit hole in the heck, shot qtr away thru shoulder.

AWESOME Stuff Rick!! There is NO Disputing that these BIG Lead Bullets keep Chugging along, as your thread here CLEARLY shows, They Hit with AUTHORITY even Subsonic :lewis:

That was quite the education you gave him !!! Apparently he is also quite a good student too !!! Do you have any specifics such as gun , powder , etc ?? Nice job 52 bore and nice job young man !!! You Both should be Very Proud !!! It pleases me a Great Deal that you took the time and effort to guide him onto success and proficentcy . He'll carry that all his life . THAT is Very , Very Honorable . Congratulations on a job well done !!!!
