Ive shot some like that. They dont expand at all even with a max load of BH209. They plowed right through my entire test media. I had to dig it out of the tree behind it.

EXACTLY, I have shot BHN 15 through my Old Stainless 50 Cal Green Mountain LRH barrel, My Rifle actually shot them well (Typical Stainless GM LRH and HARD Lead) But i would NEVER hunt with anything like this, WAY TO HARD! Bullet would act like a FMJ and Punch a .501 Hole Straight through. I am not even Fond of 1-20 Alloy For Hunting (ALL that BACO Carries) 1-20 has a Brinell of 10, I feel Thats to Hard for a Hunting Bullet, EXCELLENT for Accuracy (And No doubt that’s why BACO Chooses it) But I want a Pure Lead, or up to 1-40 Alloy (Brinell of 8.5) MAX For Hunting, I want my Bullet to Roll Back (Mushroom) When they Hit Game. For Target use ONLY, i Love the Alloys, 1-40, 1-30, 1-20, I have Shot MOST of my TIP TOP Groups with an Alloy

I tried to find the pic of the bullet after being shot. It was a 265gr .406cal. I had a local guy resize them all for me. It plowed through everything including 2 full sized phone books. Virtually no expansion. The metplat was smeared but that was about it.

Dangerous game or maybe really large hooved if penetration is the goal but otherwise....nope.

I would look at GT bullets (hollow-point cast bullets) or maybe something like cowboy cast bullets. Cowboy cast bullets are around 8 BHN.
