Although I have not tried them in muzzleloaders - I'm a firm believer in both of Ben's lubes. The Liquid Lube would be prefered due to it being non-petroleum based. I shoot A LOT of cast bullets for centerfire handguns and a few rifles and I have had the best luck with both. I began with his Liquid Lube for the simplicity and because I didn't have a lube sizer. Now I have a lube sizer and strickly use his Ben's Red which is a petroleum based lube. The Liquide Lube being of liquid wax and Xlox cut with mineral spirits should be plenty slippery. . .maybe try cutting back on the mineral spirits if you choose to stay with Ben's Liquide Lube? The BH209 powder is great stuff and I wouldn't change that part. . .I would find whatever the BH209 likes best! I have been playing with a form of Emmit's Lube for my sidlocks and found it to work quite well when it is "messy" to work with. I get a nice uniform starburst on my muzzle after each shot. My first batch I had to ask what I did wrong, it was too hard, and so I made it wetter/messier and my groups improved. Keep trying until you find your recipe.
