a good friend of mine recently got a hand me down rifle givin to him from his late grandfather. I’m still waiting for pictures of it but he told me it’s an A.S.M. Hawkeye .54 Caliber In-line with an action similar to his cva that he has that happens to be a plunger gun. Anyone heard of these or know anything about them??? He wants to use it next season and take a deer with it as a salute to his grandfather. I’m sure I can figure out the mechanics of it as he said it was pretty clean but he was only givin the rifle. No powder or primers or caps. Can anyone tell me if pets are still available for it? Rate of twist wouldn be good to know so I have an idea what to tell him to look for as a projectile. Max charge?? Thanks in advance for any help

Any known issues with them, can’t seem to find any info on them besides the link GM54-120 pr

Basically the same as the Italian Knight, T5 Woodsman. Made in Italy.

Same as the Palmetto RidgeRunner? I've seen a few of those around.

They use the Knight style plunger like the T5. Palmetto put a handle on in the cutout, and a cap on the back of the receiver, IIRC. Same basic rifle with different plunger ignition systems.
