I'm looking for a scope with 4plus eye relief and 12in long .I'll check it out thanks

What I wonder is how the warranty for Nikon scopes is going to be handled now that they are getting out of the scope game.

I believe Leupold makes Redfield and they are dropping the Redfield line. I have 6 of the 3-9X Redfields shown and they are great scopes for the money.

Seems several are dropping ,that is my thought on these blow out sales

Leupold does own Redfield so it should be no big deal. They will take care of you. Ive got 2 of the 2x7s. Glass is on par with a VX-I to VX-II. VX Freedoms come up for sale also at close to the same price.

As far as Nikon, i would buy assuming i would be on my own if it failed after a year or so. Buy the best you can find as cheap as you can find it.

Monarch 5 or 7
Black series
Monarch 3 if you can get a good deal on the 2.5x10x50 FFP Nikoplex
P5 are made in Philippines but the P7s are Chinese....Yeah figure that one out.

I personally will avoid Nikon Scopes From now on, Which is a SAD Deal, The only one i have is an AWESOME Scope, But i am glad that I only have this 1, and that i got a REALLY good deal on it, If it Breaks? I can Toss it in the Trash and Move on. Purchasing these “Closeout” Nikon Scopes is just not worth the Risk of Possibly Needing Warranty work down the Rd and being SOL, I Will Stick To Leupold.

That FX1000 is super tempting BUT the Burris Veracity is cheaper and a closer match for my needs. The Nikon got better marks for its turrets. I would chance one if they drop another $100 for that model. A 4x16 does not have much appeal to me other than for just recreational target shooting. I find 4x low to be problematic occasionally for hunting. Lost a really fat doe one year because of the reduced FOV on a 4x16.

Yeah its too bad. They make nice stuff, imo. Great bang for the buck.

Anyone ever find out WHY they decided on this? All I've ever seen is speculation. And staying in spotters, binos, rangefinders, etc.. seems odd that they would do that.
