Just a heads up fellas . I ask CVA in a email about vets discounts and they will give a 20% to us vets . Awesome ,and thanks to them for sure .

First lite camo will give us a 30% vets discount on honestly some of the best outdoor gear I have ever owned .I got a Solitude kit and the furnace long john set and I am honestly blown away at how good this MUCHO SPENDY camo really is . Could have saved a fortune just buying the good stuff first . Been selling old camo on FB to get it out of the way this year . Good stuff for how I hunt .

Somewhat related. I was in about 13+, 8.5 years active. I have various old cards & the DD-214s around but the VA recently opened up a process to get a military I.D. Card for those that never retired.

Recently they opened up more base privileges to former military, Exchange, whatever. I don’t have one close, don’t plan to go, but I did jump through a few hoops for a fresh I.D. Card. If for nothing else, easy to show to get 10% off in a few places.

Like I said, not a great benefit but just a little something. I’m not looking or expecting any handouts.

Widude, don't know if you have any medical disabilities from the service i.e. Tinnitus, Loss of hearing, etc. But if you go through the effort and have a medical exam by the VA, you may find out you may be entitled to some benefits. Right now I have 10% disability due to Tinnitus and Hearing loss, I receive $145 every month tax-free, plus Hearing aids with new supplies every 6 months. Plus any medication that you may need I believe they charge you 8 or 9 dollars per month for each prescription.

I am just filling out the paperwork for a free pass to National Parks. We are taking a road trip around the 4 corners area and the parks are thick there. Check out the options if you will be visiting a National Park. My pass requires a service connected disability but you should still inquire.

I did not know about the military discount but CVA treated me well on a matter I had so I was impressed with their service to me.
