Guys, I have been missing for a few days. I lost a son-in-law to depression on Tuesday night. Hardest thing I have ever gone through. Been a wreck (and still am) for the last few days. We have been in Las Vegas since Wednesday morning. Strange thing, my daughter knew it was inevitable, she has been holding us up. Should be the opposite. Just got back to Utah this morning, and into the shop. Be good to have a project to get my mind somewhat off of the last few days events. Be going on your receiver plug again in the morning Culp1.
Sorry to hear this . May our Lord help all of you .

My smallest grooving tool is .100 so I’m going with that. I could grind it down to .075 but it should be fine at .100. I would guess the o-ring goes into a slight recess in the receiver and seals against the flat flange on the cap, so the width of the groove should be ok if it’s a little wider
Your correct it does go into a recess.
I deal with depression myself. Meds help but it can get overwhelming at times. Hopes and prayers for you and your family.

Finished unless it needs hardened

Here’s the last couple of videos of the build. I’m a horrible filmer and using an iPhone isn’t the best way to go about it.
Disclaimer: I don’t claim to be a machinist, never had any training to speak of. I had a brother in law, who worked as a machinist, help me build a bullet mold for a .503 Buckbuster when Doc sold his company and word was you wouldn’t be able to get anything for them anymore. I’ve been hooked ever since. It’s just a hobby I love as much as shooting....

I just got my BD barrel back from having the qla removed. Might get to shoot it this weekend. It's a 45 1:20 and im hoping it shoots conicals as well as my other MLs. Let us know when you put yours together and shoot it Culp1.

looking forward to seeing how your .45 shoots, might give me the incentive to get out and shoot mine.

The part didn’t fit. Only threaded part way in. I’m having him check the cap in a 3/4 x 16 nut at the hardware store. It may be a M19x 1.5 or some custom oddball size.... I’m gonna throw some feelers out on Facebook to see if anybody close has a BD. May try and call T/C to see if they know the size for sure.Waiting to hear back on the fit in a 3/4x16 nut. If it won’t thread in, I flat screwed up the thread. If it fits, the rifle is something different.

I didn't even try a metric thread gauge when i checked. I will double check mine when i get home tonight.

I should have tried it in a nut first too. Oh well, it will be just as much fun to build the second time.

In metric it's 1.5 pitch and 18.85mm od on threads. I thought that was too small to be a 19mm.
I could just send you my cap to duplicate if needs be, sdporter.
