Thanks CatamountRob for posting my MK 85 Photos. Also thanks for all the positive comments.

This is one of my gunstocks. I bought the blank about 35 years ago and used it to stock the Knight about 15 years ago. Since I didn't have a pattern, a band saw was used to cut out the basic profile and everything else was carved from the block. The most difficult job was drilling the ramrod channel. After that everything that didn't look like a gunstock was removed. Carol at Ahlman's did the checkering. Gunstocking has been a hobby for 50+ years so this was not a first effort. In fact, I wish I could have my first few back for fire wood.

Some real nice inlines in this thread. Several thinking out of the box projects. Interesting.

I will say this then you are very good at your hobby:)

Of the 3 inlines i have owned, the Thumbhole Stocked Knight Mountaineer 1:20 Twist .45 Cal was my Favorite.

I'm a poor old sap. I'll be using a CVA Wolf blue/black. Good bang for the buck.

What a great looker. I'd sure be proud to own her.

White UMag, .504, Laminate Thumbhole stock.
Knight Elite, .50 SS Thumbhole

Its a shame CVA did not repurposed the tooling for the Apex into a truly high performance ML only rifle. Its got all you need. Large OD breach and a steel frame. They even had the barrels in a 45cal 1-20 twist. Change the lug out and mod the frame so it only fits that lug.....Boom you got a super smoker 45 that will hang with anything burning BH209 in speed. Barrel OD is larger than a small shank Savage MLII.

I'm a cheap old sap. I'll be using a CVA Wolf camo/stainless. Good bang for the buck.

But those are some gorgeous rifles. Hmmmm. Maybe time to start looking again.

Yes, some good looking guns. However, the cheap Wolf still kills them pretty dead.

Exactly. So I'll stock up on components and see how many rounds I can shoot this year. Thanks for bringing me back to earth.

I shoot a T/C Strike using BH 209 powder and a CCI 209 primer to propel a Harvester 300 grain PT gold with their black crushed rib sabot using a Zeiss 3-9x40 scope. It is a solid 200-yard shooter and if I had a conveniently located range longer than 200 yards, I’d have a longer opinion.

I really like Remington 700 MLS with our conversion kit. But I'll admit that my Ruger 77/50 stainless all weather ( with our 209 conversion of course) is lighter, handier and probably the better rifle for deer hunting in my particular location.

Well, I've looked at this thread numerous times, like a kid at christmas with the ole sears wish cataloge, very nice, each one of those firearms, over here in Canada, we are so far behind compared to the accessories or even selection of guns to purchase would make you guys laugh, I couldn't even get a LeHigh bare primer kit for my Extreme over here until a very helpful member came through for me, to say I'm envious would be an understatement, thanks for the viewing pleasure guys !!!
