I personally wouldn’t trust ANY QLA Cut Muzzle from ANY Company, there is simply no need for them

If the gun is accurate what harm do they do? I've had a lot of CVA inlines and they were all accurate. Carlos proved how accurate they are much better than me.

The BGM (Bullet Guiding Muzzle) on a CVA is only 1/4" deep, versus the QLA (Quick Load Accurizer) on the Thompson Center that is approximately 1" deep.

The biggest problem with the T/C's, is that the bores are not always concentric to the barrel O.D., thus not centered. Instead of fixing the problem, T/C decided to mask the problem by cutting a deep QLA that is concentric to the barrels O.D.. All that did was make it appear that the bore is centered by looking at the QLA, but the bore and QLA are not concentric to each other.

The CVA bores and BGM's are centered and concentric with the barrel O.D., so it's doubtful you'll see any accuracy gains by removing the shallow BGM.

It's been well established that removing the deep QLA on the the T/C's improves accuracy for shooting full bore conicals.

If your accuracy isn't broke, I wouldn't fix it. With that said, I wouldn't buy a T/C with a QLA, but would and have bought a CVA with a BGM.

Well my brother has a cva optima v2 and someone told him about cutting the bgm and recrowning it.I'll tell him to save his money.Besides he hunts in the woods where his shots are under 50 years. Thanks every one for your input.

Our three CVA Accuras are accurate rifles as is from the factory and absolutely no modifications to the barrel are necessary, period. JMHO

Never had a issue with any CVA Ive owned being accurate with conicals. If shooting sabots QLA is a asset in loading, also with a conical as it self centers/straightens bullet.Problems only occurs if qla is off center which is common on newer T/C but the older T/C Firehawks/Black Diamonds were usually good to go.

If you're getting good accuracy, don't fix what's not broken. If not, bestill does a QLA circumcision at a fair price, with a reasonable turn around time.
