Is it safe to wait a couple days to clean my s91ss after shooting 777

I have used T7 for many years, shooting stainless steel Whites, TC's, and Knights. T7 is corrosive, or can be corrosive, but nothing like the Pyro's or real BP. The only time time you might need to worry about T7 corrosion is if the powder residue in the bore were to get damp/wet and you left the rifle unattended for a long period of time. I can not say the same about blued rifles. It still requires the powder residue to suck up moisture but it doesn't take as long to effect the bore if left unattended.

A simple way to reduce the residues corrosion properties is to run a Windex (Blue Windex) patch. And wipe the bore dry.

If you are not going to be using the the rifle for an extended period of time - it is always better to clean than to ignore.

Simple fast and positive way to clean when needed...

I would leave your gun in your truck overnight if your not cleaning if you bring it inside it will build up moisture and you don't want that ! You don't have to fire a squib if the barrel is already dirty if I read your comment correct

"So if I fire a fouling shot before I load to hunt I should be ok if it’s a day or two before I clean."

Yes, that's perfectly fine. I get where you're coming from; consistency for accuracy purposes. I do it every year the evening before deer season opens and the bore has not suffered a bit. I do, as muzzlestuffer noted, keep it in my truck; typically a few days without a proper cleaning unless fill my tag first.

The muzzleloaders I have seen with bad bores have all had the same problem. They have had an owner that was too lazy to do a thorough job of cleaning. I clean after every time I shoot. You can foul a bore sufficiently before a hunt with primers alone.

I agree with the lazy comment but you can not foul the bore enough with just a primer in a s91 if your shooting slip fit slugs sabot's yes, just my opinion

I do exactly the same thing, around October 5 - I head to the range and shoot 3-5 bullets to verify zero. When I get home I will run a couple of damp Windex patches - let the bore dry and then load it up for hunting season on the 10th. It will stay loaded all the way to December 14, well I hope not but, if it is not shot it will remain loaded to the end of hunting season. IMPORTANT - this with T7 not any Pryo or real BP is a stainless barrel. The only time I might run a patch or clear the load is if I believe somehow the bore got moisture in it,

That's the only problem I'm always worried about the moisture ruining my barrel !!

Moisture is and always could be a problem when shooting a ML using real BP and any of the BP subs, including BH-209. I am certainly not the oldest most experienced person on this forum, but I have doing this for a very long time. Another thing that you will need to take in account, your environment. I live in the Pacific Northwest in northern Idaho. I do not deal with the high humidity that many others do. Humidity could/can be a huge factor.

But even in the winter here or rainy weather my routine stays pretty much the same.

Another factor at work here is the quality of the metal in the barrel, and as far as I know Doc. always used quality stainless in his barrels.

I agree to all you say I just can't get a good night sleep when there's powder down the barrel have I done it yes I have especially with 209 and my cva like I said I just leave it outside at the same temperature the whites are a different story just being extra careful especially my customs I have lots of time or money into them !!

I‘m sure as hell not lazy, Flounder. Perhaps the bad bores you’ve seen might have had BH 209, Pyro or BP in them rather than T7. Like sabotloader, I’ve never had an issue with it.
