Possibly selling a Knight Disc Elite

I am wanting to purchase a Dream Season Omega. However my wife says I should probably sell my 50. cal Disc Elite first. I bought it 3 years ago on Gun Broker and put it in my safe, since I also purchased another Elite from an individual around the same time. The one I may sell is NIB, has a...

    Omega Hammer Misfire

My hunting buddy called last night telling me about a Dangerous experience with his 50. Omega yesterday. He on his way to his treestand when he came upon six does and yearlings, one which was standing broadside at 20 yards. He set his stand and pack down, lifted his Omega and upon cocking his...

XTP .300 VERSUS GOLD DOT .300

I am planning to use GD .300 grain bullets this year. Last year I had used .300 gr XTP's in front of 100gr 777 with my .50 Omega. Where I hunt in southwest Alabama, I am just a likely to see a hog as a deer. While on a deer hunt last year I shot a sow that dressed at 130# at a distance of 20...

First Alabama Buck of 2008 Season

I'm using the .452 XTPs. I shot a sow a couple weeks ago using the same bullet with 105 grains of 777 from my Omega. I hit her on the bridge of the nose just below the eyes. She was facing be at 22 yards. The bullet penetrated the skull and completely mushroomed, ending up in the off shoulder.

First Alabama Buck of 2008 Season

A buddy and I hunted some public land this past weekend on the Tombigbee River in west central Alabama. I finally got an oportunity at a small buck. I was easing around Sunday morning around 9:30 through a travel corridor made up of young saplings. I kept my nose nose facing into a strong...

Triple Seven ff versus fff accuracy in an Omega

Sorry, I am using 100 grains of loose powder. I have tried other amounts. Last year I used 105 gr with a 240 gr xtp, with decent accuracy. I have checked the scope and base screws for tightness and they are okay. I'm headed to the range this am and will post results later. thanks, TM

Triple Seven ff versus fff accuracy in an Omega

I have been using 777 in fff grains for two years now with mixed results in my .50 cal omega. I have tried 240 to 300 grain xtp's and shockwaves, but sometimes the groups at 100 yards are 3" to 5". I am thinking if I switch to ff instead of fff, my accuracy may improve. Has anyone found an...

    Knight light contour disc Elite

I just purchased a .50 cal SS Elite from Gunbroker.com last month for $320. They had five or six available at that time. I have since seen it listed again. You might want to check them out!

Are there any Good Deals on Knight Elites anymore?

Thanks HawgHunter, I called them today and they had 5 left @ $269. Unfortunately, they will not ship out of Michigan. They claim the FBI :?: said they could not. Oh well, I'll keep looking!

Are there any Good Deals on Knight Elites anymore?

I currently own an Omega and like it a lot, but have had trouble getting it tuned in exactly like I'd like. I have been reading how accurate the Disc Elites are for the last year. I know they are discontinued. I am considering a .50 cal Elite, if I can find one at a reasonable price. Does...

    Omega loads 110gr and over?

Well, I went to the range and had the first three shots touching at 100 yards( 300gr SST's/110gr 777). The next two were 3.5"and 4.5" right! I then experimented and checked the tightness of my rings and was not happy. I made a mistake and bought a set of adjustable (w&e) rings by Millett. I...

    Omega loads 110gr and over?

I went to the range Saturday with a new Nikon Monarch 3x9x40 on my Omega. I spent two hours trying to get a consistent group using 100-105gr FFF T7. I am going back tomorrow afternoon and was thinking I should try 110gr and 120gr. Oh, I was shooting 240gr T/C green sabots XTP's. I also shot...

    Elite 3200 Problems

Thanks guys for the advice. I am shipping the scope back to Bushnell in Kansas tomorrow. Big6x6 I did take the scope off at the range, but not before checking all the ring screws for tightness. The scope would either not adjust as set or would overadjust. I thought the Bushnell Elite 3200 was...

    Elite 3200 Problems

I went to the range yesterday to check the zero on by Omega .50 before leaving Tuesday on an extended muzzleloader hunt, The first few shots were grouping but off to left about 4 inches. I then proceeded to adjust the scope, sometimes it did and sometimes NOT! Other times it would be way too...

Loading issues with sabots for the T/C .54 Renegade

That's some fine shooting. My old Renegade is just like yours, bought it in 1981. I also love the double set triggers. I hope to find some sabot or conical that will shoot straight.

Loading issues with sabots for the T/C .54 Renegade

I have an old T/C .54 Renegade I bought in 1981 and has been very accurate until recently. Most of the deer I have shot with it have been less than 50 yards. I noticed last year it is shooting off to the right quite a bit. I have been shooting Buffalo Bullets as they are easy to load. I have...
