    Woodman Arms/ Patriot

I did not know that. Guess that scratches them off the list. I have never had an issue with getting muzzleloaders shipped directly to me in Ohio.

    CVA Electra ML accident

Im not excusing the lack of safety precautions but the gun still shouldn’t have fired on its own without pulling the trigger, period. I think saying a guy that had his foot taken off ”got what he deserved” is pretty harsh.

Anyone put the Accura guarantee to the test?

Not only that but also working up some different loads and finding a good one. Dropping a few pellets or a max load down the barrel with any ol’bullet and sabot may not yield good results. Not the guns fault.

I shot it during our two day gun season that is after our main week of gun season. Our muzzloader season is coming up here soon as well.

    Ohio buck

Haven’t posted in awhile but been getting back into muzzleloading some. Took this with my knight disc 1:20 at around 80 yards. He ran maybe 20 tops. 110 grain bh209, 200 grain SST.

CVA's New 2019 .45 Caliber Rifling Twist Rate Revealed!

Definitely interested, don’t know how I feel about a 30” barrel though. I will have to go shoulder one and see how it handles.

    Tipped Bloodline

I personally wouldnt use this bullet with a tip, even before this test. It being a hollowpoint is what makes this design so effective. The force that happens when the hollow cavity fills up and breaks the hard brass is tremendous. I dont see how this would perform consistently by filling up the...

    Black Ice OR Nitrate

I have had nitride done by H&M on a stainless barrel and then went and had cerakote done over it. I prefer the cerakote and in my opinion nitride is not all its cracked up to be.

    Optima shim instructions?

Re: Optima shim instructions? The shimming you have probably heard about for the optima invovles shimming the firing pin bushing out from the frame with a shim kit from cva.

Understanding the Lehigh controled fracturing bullets.

Do you have any idea what could be expected pushing them at 2700-2800 fps? More trauma? Petals traveling further in the animal?

Understanding the Lehigh controled fracturing bullets.

I shot a doe last year with a 200 grain lehigh and it was devastating. I have a smokeless gun now so i am mainly interested in the copper ones since the brass ones dont do too well in these.

CVA Accura MR Failed failed my hunting test!!

How does tighter tolerances help? People use different primers which vary at length. We have the same issue here that there is with the Knight and headspace. It is best to just shim the action for whatever primer you use, takes only a couple minutes to do.
