I was in my local Wally World yesterday and noticed most of the muzzleloader stuff is marked down now, but not by much. A Traditions Buckstalker is $191 (was $206). All the Powerbelts are marked down $2-$3 per package. All the primers are long gone.

For the same price, which is the better buy: Vortex Copperhead or Sig Sauer Buckmasters? Both are 3-9x40.

120 grains of BH209 by volume equals 3 pellets (150 grains by volume). The Traditions manual does not specifically say 2 pellets is max allowed.

Those are the same prices at my local WM. The muzzleloader rifle prices also went up at WM. The Vortek Strikerfire is now $414 vs $379 last year.

Why has BH209 gone up in price so much, but T7 and Pyrodex have not?

I heard Federal only does one run of the BOR Locks every year. They show up in stores late summer and when sold out you need to wait until the next production run to get more.

Just curious, why don't you recommend the Buckstalker?
