Installation Of Ramrod Holder On Wolf

Nope. I'd taken the clips off that rifle to do a DuraCoat finish. Those were just the factory clips that came on the rifle. Your clips might have a stronger tension in the steel making them harder to spread.

    Bullet sizing

I've used a Hankins with a Lee hand press for a few seasons now. It's worked really well.

    Disc extreme won't fire.

I'm assuming that you've cleaned out the breech plug and the flame channel and flash hole are unobstructed.

    Disc extreme won't fire.

You would think so but if the primer has a very poor seal in the breech plug, then you have hot gases and flame being directed back out around the primer onto the bolt face rather down thru the breech plug to the powder. Poor primer seal can cause ignition issues. That's why I was asking about...

    Going Sabotless?

I believe Jeff Hankins recommends lubing your bullets before sizing to help prevent galling in the sizing die. I lube mine before sizing.

    Disc extreme won't fire.

With the charges that went off and the primers that fired, how much blow back did you have on the bolt face?

Recovered a Fury STB this morning

Been shooting the 265 gr Fury STB for a few seasons now and finally recovered one this morning. The powder load was 110 gr BV of Blackhorn. The shot was about 40 yards, quartering towards me. Aimed for the base of the neck where it met the forward shoulder. The shot ended up more into the...

    BlackHorn 209 In Stock

Someone's been smoking crack asking those kind of prices. Of course....I wouldn't be surprised if someone actually paid what they're asking either. Folks will do some weird things at times.

Ordered my sizing die, now what bullet?

I agree. I started shooting/hunting with the 265 gr Fury STB last year out of my Ultra-lite. It's been a great combination. They're easy to size and do seem to stay sized. Terminal performance on whitetail deer has been impressive.

    Fury Green Tip STB

My Ultra-lite loves that bullet. From what I've seen in the field, I'm not surprised with that amount of expansion.

    Fury 44 caliber 250g Bullet

Well, that's surprising. With that exposed lead tip, I expected a bit more expansion than that.

    45 ultra lite, peregrine stock

    That's sharp looking.

Weekend project...Optima getting a face lift.

Scotch-Brite method to rough it up and cleaned/decreased really well.

Weekend project...Optima getting a face lift.

It's held up really well on the Optima. There's a tiny spot or two up around the muzzle that chipped off but the rest of the barrel and the receiver still look good. I'd definitely do it again with any firearm that needed a face lift. Actually contemplating doing my Turkey gun with it after...

    Knight UL Scopes

I ended up topping my UL with a Burris Signature HD 2-10x40. So far, I've been pretty impressed with it. I've seen really good prices on them lately.

    WITHDRAWN Burris Signature HD 2-10x40

Just PM me if you decide to. I have the same scope on my Knight UL. The magnification range is a good fit for MZ hunting ranges.
