What kind of palm saver/bullet starter is that? I shoot the 290gr TEZs and got a bunch on sale a few years ago. Very devastating on deer haven’t shot Moose, Elk or Bear with them yet. :)

Any difference in performance shooting .45 Cal 250gr TTSX out out of a muzzleloader or actual muzzleloader bullets like TEZ/TMZ? Just curious. Thanks.

Depends what you are going to be hunting with it. I like the Barnes 290gr TEZ, 77gr (weighed on a scale) Blackhorn 209, FED209A shotshell primer for deer with the possibility of shooting a moose at the same time I wanted a load that I could shoot both with.

I measure on an RCBS 10-10 scale. I do have a Harrels but haven’t even thought of throwing charges on it.

I shot my best groups on my TC Omega shooting Barnes 290gr TEZ, 77gr (weighed) Blackhorn 209 and Federal 209A shotshell primers. Win 209 primers consistently ignited BH209 but found my groups tightened up when I switched to Federal 209A.

I’ve never used or had the opportunity to try one but from what I’ve heard they are some of the very best packs you can get and have very positive reviews. You definitely pay for what you get! :)

Sorry I forgot to add I am shooting Blackhorn 209 through a CVA Blackhorn 209 QRBP. The QRBP shown in that pic is the stock breechplug that came with the CVA Accura. I would like to try the rubber o-ring method first, McMaster-Carr doesn’t ship to where I live (Canada). I had to get them...
