CVA KnuckleSaver swap for TEZ bullets

What kind of palm saver/bullet starter is that? I shoot the 290gr TEZs and got a bunch on sale a few years ago. Very devastating on deer haven’t shot Moose, Elk or Bear with them yet. :)

Barnes TEZ/TMZ vs .45 Cal TTSX

Any difference in performance shooting .45 Cal 250gr TTSX out out of a muzzleloader or actual muzzleloader bullets like TEZ/TMZ? Just curious. Thanks.

Help with load for T/C omega?

Depends what you are going to be hunting with it. I like the Barnes 290gr TEZ, 77gr (weighed on a scale) Blackhorn 209, FED209A shotshell primer for deer with the possibility of shooting a moose at the same time I wanted a load that I could shoot both with.

    Pellets to powder

My CVA Accura is sighted in (but not fine tuned) to 77gr (weighed) Blackhorn 209 with the Barnes 290gr TEZ. I have bumped it up to a max load of 84gr but the group opened up. I haven’t had a chance to slowly work the load up from 77gr to find that magic sweet spot. Anyways with this load my...

    Which scale for weighing powder?

I measure on an RCBS 10-10 scale. I do have a Harrels but haven’t even thought of throwing charges on it.

T/C Omega with a tight bore..

Barnes 290gr TEZ (blue sabot which is an MMP HPH24) load great in my TC Omega.

    new Omega barrel disappointment

I shot my best groups on my TC Omega shooting Barnes 290gr TEZ, 77gr (weighed) Blackhorn 209 and Federal 209A shotshell primers. Win 209 primers consistently ignited BH209 but found my groups tightened up when I switched to Federal 209A.

OT - The search for a Great Day Pack

I’ve never used or had the opportunity to try one but from what I’ve heard they are some of the very best packs you can get and have very positive reviews. You definitely pay for what you get! :)

Shimming a CVA QRBP with Rubber O-Rings

Sorry I forgot to add I am shooting Blackhorn 209 through a CVA Blackhorn 209 QRBP. The QRBP shown in that pic is the stock breechplug that came with the CVA Accura. I would like to try the rubber o-ring method first, McMaster-Carr doesn’t ship to where I live (Canada). I had to get them...

Shimming a CVA QRBP with Rubber O-Rings

Thanks everyone for the replies that’s awesome! I haven’t been to the range yet and I’m hoping to make it out there tomorrow but just out of curiosity I decided to measure primers with my calipers (Starrett). I took 10 primers from each of the following manudacturers: CCI 209M (Magnum) - 1)...

Shimming a CVA QRBP with Rubber O-Rings

Hey guys! I finally got ahold of some rubber o-rings from McMaster-Carr in the size of 1x4.5 (buna). I would like to try the rubber o-ring method for my CVA Accura V2 QRBP I was just wondering how many o-rings would it approximately take to achieve 0 headspace/primer crush using CCI 209M...

Opinion. Are you really hunting if you

I use my cell phone all the time. I used it to control my GoPro camera and try and video the hunt if possible. The problem I have is my phone doesn’t like cold weather and will automatically power down so I have to bring hand warmers with me. I have excellent cell reception where I hunt but...
