Oh, it just dawned on me that I am using the BH209 breech plug with the 777 loose. If that matters.

I've always gotten blowback from this gun no matter the charge/bullet/primer. After about 4 shots I had to pry the primers out of the breech plug.

Yeah, they are pretty wet. I have only ever used pellets or BH209 and never had such issues so wasn't sure how the procedure should go for loose. I'll do the lick a patch next time.

Not to argue, but since one min it groups with holes touching is it really a bullet issue? Kind of don't want to chase bullets around a week before ML season. I couldn't find any Win 777 primers so picked up normal Win 209 and CCI 209Mag. I will give the normal win a try and see if it helps...

I noticed on the 3rd shot it got wild and scrubbing worked sometimes and sometimes it didn’t.

Why did you change the sabot? The ones I ordered come with a blue sabot.

Thinking about trying these this year with BH209 or 777 loose. Probably use 777 loose though due to not having much BH209. How's accuracy and performance in 50cal?

I am out of BH209 and picked up some 777 loose. I was shooting a .451 300gr XTP but out of those also and cant find any. I also didn't get good accuracy from this combo either. Any suggestions on a bullet and powder charge? Looking for a 100yard deer load.

Are these the same size as the barrel/muzzle to where you can just turn upside down and pour? My pill bottles are too large and seem to let some powder leak over the side when pouring.

Right now I am using old pill bottles for loose powder speed loaders but they don’t work so great. What are you guys using?

I’m out today and tomorrow after noon. Gun week I found a honey hole that no one hunts. Had a doe down wind at 30 yards with her 8pt 100” ish buddy. Buck winded me but not today. The wind is perfect. Monday and Tuesday I’ll be working and probably quit deer hunting for the year.

Scope is fine. 777 is crap! Shot 100gr of Blackhorn 209 tonight with the scope in question and it held up. I ended up shooting 10 more shots and no issue.

Season opens tomorrow and sunday and then its done. I have a vortex crossfire I can swap with but I dont know if I would trust the recoil and that vortex scope. Ill take the crossfire tonight and shoot this for a group at 50yards and see what it does. I am shooting 100gr Vol of 777 FFG. Would...
