    Knight MK .45

In a previous post I talked about finding a couple .45 cal Knights. I ended up picking up the MK 85 stainless .45. When looking at it the barrel looked fantastic, as well as the rest of the gun. It came with the original #11 plunger and plug along with a 209 plunger and plug.

    Knight D.I.S.C .45 Value

I happened upon a NIB Knight D.I.S.C .45 fluted stainless barrel, with a serial # in the 2500’s. From my research it should be a 1:20 twist barrel. I’ve wanted one for a while , but can’t hardly find the time to shoot the ones I already have. Will I be kicking myself for passing on it at $330?

    Adding to the Heard

I’ve been watching this for over two years waiting for them to either drop the price or until I talked my self into it. NIB MK85 Knighthawk .54 cal has a Williams peep and steel scope bases as extras. Didn’t have the slotted breech plug tool, but I already have one of those. I may order a hex...

    Sizing with RCBS Partner

Anyone have experience sizing bullets with a RCBS Partner? I ended up picking one up for half off NIB. I’ll be sizing for my .45 LHR as well as some .50 cal conical.

    Lee 457-340-F or 457-405-F

Has anyone tried these in a .45 LRH for grease groove bullets? I already have a .452 sizer and wouldn't mind having a bullet I could shoot in a sabot in my .50 cal or GR in my .45 LRH.

    MK85 barrel twist?

A lot of MK85 questions lately , so what’s one more. I’m going in the morning to look at what the seller says is a early MK85. I asked him if it was early enough that it might not have the Green Mountain barrel. He had no idea. From my research if it had 6 land grooves it was not a Green...

    Fast Twist Barrel

Since I can’t find one of the Green Mountain fast twist barrels. I see Rice is starting to make some. Is there anyone one else that makes a fast twist barrel for a Hawken?

    100% Neatsfoot oil Patch Lube

I'm wondering for those that use 100% Neatsfoot oil for patch lube how do you apply it to your patches? Do you wet the patches then press them out with a paper towel? Also do you mix the Neatsfoot oil with beeswax or just use straight neatsfoot oil? Thanks

Working up load for T/C Hawken .54

I was finally able to make it out to shoot my new to me T/C Hawken .54. I've been wanting to use this gun to hunt with PRB. I started out at 25yrds with 90gr Pyro P with .530 speer ball with .015 wonderlube patch. The target below is what I came up with. I went to check what the patches looked...

T/C Hawkin .54 good or bad.

I found a used T/C Hawkin .54 for $175. I’ve seen it and held it and it looks to be in really good shape. Need a ram rod though. Barrel looks good and hardly any damage on the stock. I’ve been wanting a .54 and was planning on shooting round ball for deer and elk. I had my heart set on a Lyman...
