    Utah bans trail cameras

Like I’ve said before as well, These threads really should be titled “How to Flush out the Guy’s that hunt over Bait, and use Cell phone Trail Cams” Here is Forum member retrieverman, He was able to Pattern this Buck from 500 Miles away, and ultimately killed him because of it.

    Utah bans trail cameras

Good for Utah, As i’ve said before, Cellular Trail Cams that send Real time photos to your Phone, Ipad Etc. should be Banned. This is a Ridiculously unfair advantage over Game Animals. There are guy’s using these to monitor and Pattern Deer from OTHER States, They get enough Data, Jump in and...

It came from me, Use 40-1 Alloy and the Bullets will HOLD the Bore TIGHT

Shaver's bore polishing - it works!

You are welcome! :lewis: EVERY Rifle/Barrel i own gets this treatment, i do this before i ever bother shooting them. Lee’s Method also makes for easier Cleaning the Bore, It’s been a Win Win for me :lewis:

    The BIG “Money”

In this particular case i am shooting 95 Grains by WEIGHT instead of my Old trusty 80 Grains, my reasoning is the Bullet weight here (550 Grains) My velocity Goal with these Type of Bullets, Shooting Longer Ranges is 1,350 to 1,400 Fps, My typical 80 Grain Load just isn’t quite enough here

.50 Cal Pedersoli Hawken Hunter 1:24 twist vs Rice barrel

For a Hunting sight i use a Fiber Optic front Bead. For Target i use Globe front sights with Lee Shaver fine BPCR inserts. I recently switched to Hoppes #9 and Alcohol 50/50 Mix (Bestill Recommendation) for Swabbing between shots, Mine is closer to Straight Hoppes #9 at this point from adding...

.50 Cal Pedersoli Hawken Hunter 1:24 twist vs Rice barrel

Just be sure to Put it back together exactly the same each time (The tightness of the Tang Screw) :lewis:

.50 Cal Pedersoli Hawken Hunter 1:24 twist vs Rice barrel

It is a Machine Screw right? (Not a Wood Screw?)

.50 Cal Pedersoli Hawken Hunter 1:24 twist vs Rice barrel

That is a REALLY Nice Looking Rifle :lewis:

.50 Cal Pedersoli Hawken Hunter 1:24 twist vs Rice barrel

Hey Rob, do you stil have pics of a Non Patent Breech setup?

.50 Cal Pedersoli Hawken Hunter 1:24 twist vs Rice barrel

If I remember right with my Old Pedersoli Hawken Hunter? (Been awhile) I only had to remove 1 Tang Screw and then turn the sight to the side to allow the Tang to lift out of the Stock

.50 Cal Pedersoli Hawken Hunter 1:24 twist vs Rice barrel

I have no complaints about a Patent Breech, I have been shooting them exclusively from my Beginning in Muzzleloading and They have never caused me any kind of trouble.

.50 Cal Pedersoli Hawken Hunter 1:24 twist vs Rice barrel

There is nothing wrong with the Pedersoli Hawken Hunter, They are good Rifles :lewis: Like i said my only complaint is the NON Hooked Breech, Since i shoot Tang Mounted Peep sights the Last thing i want to do is Loosen, or Remove my Sight to remove my Barrel each time for cleaning, With Hooked...

.50 Cal Pedersoli Hawken Hunter 1:24 twist vs Rice barrel

The 1:24 Twist is awesome in .50 Cal, I shoot mine all the way out to 1,200 Yards :lewis:

.50 Cal Pedersoli Hawken Hunter 1:24 twist vs Rice barrel

Both are very good :lewis: I personally prefer Rice Barrels in TC Stocks. I use to own a Pedersoli Hawken Hunter but i Sold it, I wasn’t crazy about it being a NON Hooked Breech, I prefer the Hooked Breech Setup for Ease of Cleaning

    Seasoning an inline muzzleloader?

Seasoning is for a Cast Iron Frying Pan, No need to try such a thing with a Muzzleloader Barrel as they are Steel. You want to Clean your Barrel thoroughly after each shooting session, Then coat with a Good Quality gun oil to Protect the Bare Steel :lewis:
