Sabots for the Super 91 .504

After doing a bit of research today, I've decided against the sabot. I can stick with a conical and get good MOA groups. Just wondering what weights and loads guys are getting good groups with in the 91. Right now, I'm shooting the .465 and getting 1.0 at 100 yards.

Sabots for the Super 91 .504

I've had this Super 91 for many years now and it's served me very well. I've heard a lot of statements from guys saying they are reaching out accurately past 200 yards with their ML using sabots. Does anyone have any experience using these in a .504 White, and if so, what grain slug did you use...

Longer range loads for my Super 91

I'm currently shooting a 415gr. lead slug out of my 91. I would love to get your opinions and suggestions for a sabot round that can extend my range up to 300 yards. I've heard about these loads, but need to know more. Thanks Scott

Thank you, I know it's a little long, but the fun is in the details, glad you liked it.

    New Zeiss Inbound 3-10X44 Conquest

That Conquest in 3x9 is really nice, I have one mounted on a Ruger 30.06, it was said that the 3.5x10 is better and I tend to agree, I have one mounted on a SAKO 270sm and it has been wonderful to use. Clear, bright, gathers light well and the dial up is smooth and stable. Both of these scopes...

    Hangin out in Utah

Hi guys, first let me say how much I enjoy this forum and the vast availability of knowledge here. I've been muzzeloading since 2000 when I purchased two White Super 91's, one for me and one for my son as a graduation present. I'm now 60 and still find myself fascinated with the black powder...

    First for the accura MR

NIce buck right there. Where I live in Utah, we don't have Whitetail. However, this year I drew a Montana tag and hope to get one worthy of mounting. The meat is so much more palatable and tasty. My family really likes it. Yours is a very nice buck, well done!

My First ML Buck with a White

It was late September of 2000 and I had just spent the summer getting acquainted with my new White .50 caliber Super 91. I topped it with a Millet Red Dot scope and was quite pleased with the package. So far, the relationship was blossoming and I had a hunch this was going to be a long term...

What makes the White so much better?

I would like to know what makes the White's so desirable among the muzzeloader crowd? I mean, Jim Shockey swears by his Thompson Center and I doubt it's because he gets them for free. What is it about the White that gets it such a great rep?

Longer range loads for my Super 91

One of the reasons I've posed the question is that I am trying to expand my knowledge base on what works best in the White. On another board, I was told that I could not use Blackthorn in my white?? That the #11 cap would not ignite it? If there is a lead slug that you all feel will get me the...

Longer range loads for my Super 91

I picked up two .50cal Super 91's, one for my son and one for me, back in 1995 from one of the production managers that used to work at White when it was based in Roosevelt, Utah. Since then, both of these guns have killed quite of few Utah Mule deer. All of them from under 100 yards. But, with...
