    Bullet lube on old conicals

    Put your bullets in a cake pan or pie tin . Heat up hot water and pour it in. The hot water will melt your old lube and float it to the top. Let it cool and peel it off the top of the water. A few good recipes on the site. Maybe Lewis's lube is still here.

    Help with cleaning BH209

    I just use windex to clean and soak. I always use a spent primer remover to remove the primers. Some folks use washers to shim there primers so they dont stick. I havnt had luck with that method .

    I will be carrying my CVA Accura shooting 300 gr Speer Deep Curls in a black Harvester crush rib sabot over 84 weighed gr of Blackhorn. But I hope to have a gun bearer carrying my Sharps for the Moose. If not the muzzy will take it. It's just a personal thing I want to do.

    .45-70 Subsonic

    I suppose,I own 3 45/70s . One lever gun and 2 Sharps. Inever heard one with a can on it so I have no idea what they sound like suppressed. Mine don't crack, they go BOOM. My BP loads shoot 500 gr pp and 535 - 545 greasers around 1200 fps.

    My only question is why? Why would anyone want a subsonic 45/70? And why would a person want to shoot them out of a older gun made for black powder? Just curious? They sound like a gimmick to me.
