PC and lube or just PC

I dont think you ‘need’ to, but i would still lube them a little especially if you are using real black or subs other than bh209.

Primary arms has a deceptive add

I saw the ad when it said 1:8”. I hope you got a copy of the ad when it was 1:8”. i thought about taking a screen shot of it as i figured they would change it. Im sorry i didn’t. I hope they do right by you, on this. Someone owes you a barrel or a refund. The DB site still shows it as 1:8 RH twist.

    Which muzzleloader

Based just in these requirements, you’ll be looking at CVA or Traditions. I much prefer the Accura but the Optima is also a great gun. Whatever you choose, i think you’ll be much happier with a nitrided version. Durable as diamond and easy to clean, even if you have to wait a couple days.

    Total Eclipse

I saw an eclipse from Pinckney in 92’ it was only partial but it hooked me. In ‘17 i was in Tennessee, by coincidence. Very cool, that was a total eclipse.

    Perfect practice #2

Yeah could have been anything. I didnt want to bother them, i know i want to be left alone while shooting.

T/C Black Diamond 45 XR Value

Great guns, if not the most modern design, those barrels and triggers are excellent.

    Total Eclipse

A little more than 75% here in SE Michigan. I looked at it with my welding helmet for a minute, then back to work. Ive seen a couple total eclipses. Very cool.

Blackhorn 209 by weight is not measuring up to volume line

My .02¢, adjusted for inflation… bh209 is not consistent by volume or weight, and is ridiculously over priced when compared to almost every other powder(substitute and smokeless) available. i am going to discontinue use of it in all of my guns. They (Western/Hodgdon/whoever) have had more than...

    250g Powerbelt 50 Caliber Aerolite

I think the Aerolite is a completely different bullet than all the other powerbelts, unless i am mistaken.

    Reloading setup? Please recommend.

I just picked up a Lyman case prep station a few weeks ago. Found a really good sale on it. Worth every penny, even at full price, imo. I agree with anonymouscowherd about kits. I believe piecing together what you need, as you can afford it is the way to go for many. Especially when youre on a...

    Warne or Leupold Rings ?

Ive got both brands and like them both. Depends on the model. I think i would lean a little more toward favoring the Warnes

    Reloading setup? Please recommend.

I have a plain single RCBS for sizing bullets, and a Lee 4 hole turret press for reloading. I love the turrets. Set up a turret once and done. I always double check when i put a turret back in but so far they stay where i set them. Its so nice to be able to pop in a different turret when i...

    Boyd’s stock fit

I bedded my new Woodman Omega barrel into a laminate TH stock. I used plumbers putty and modeling clay in the spots i want to keep epoxy out of. I did a second coat where i applied it to thin the first time.

    WANTED/ISO .501 sizing die

X2. Short of buying an adjustable sizer, those inexpensive Lee sizers work fine for me.

Smokeless Anomaly (Long Post But Please Read)

Yes you can knurl even those. You might also give the .430 XTPs a try, in the green or crush rib green sabots. Plenty of guys getting great results with them.

    FNG here

Welcome Slaynbux. When i certified for our 300 range i used my Accura and was gettin all kinds of side-eye from the AR crowd who were also trying to certify. I made it, easy. At least 4 of the black-gun guys were sent back to keep practicing. Now i wish i had used an sml.
