I’ve never thought cleaning a Knight was that big of a deal. I have a 1/4” socket dedicated to the job. When hunting I have complete confidence with my setup, very reliable. 4 shots last Fall, 2 anterless, a coyote and a 10 pointer. All fell less than 20 yards after being hit, no kidding.

I most often use a 45 cal, nothing against a 50. I like the added fps with my 45, yes I could experiment with a lighter bullet with the 50. For me it was 2218 verses 1950 fps in the 50.

I got 2218 fps average, 120 BH 209, 195 grain Barnes bullet.

Almost 9 now.

I’ve not heard of this ‘13 yard’ sight in procedure. Normally one starts close, then moves out some ensuring you will be ‘on paper’. In just about any case, one really needs to shoot further out.

I certainly don’t know for sure. It would be hard to imagine it wouldn’t come pre-drilled. Even if setup for ‘western’ hunting(certain States), one can normally float back & forth.

I plan to do a card this year, $100 or more. It will be unexpected, dinner for 2.

It seems like WTB ads are more a magnet for scammers. Of course they have what you are looking for.

Yes, a M-L does take trial & error to see what works. Say one has a 308 rifle, often walking in to Walmart to get any brand of ammo would probably be ok. I have what works for me, to keep it simple, I don’t change much now.

Different site, but potentially similar. I posted a WTB add, reloading brass. The thing I wonder, is it worth scamming a guy over $100? I could see $500 on a gun or something. In my case I just sent an offer for an explanation or refund before the next step.

You need a better bore fit, with the sabot/bullet combination. First off, look into the Harvestor, ‘crush-rib’ sabot. They are much more forgiving in the bore, a tight bore. I normally use 45 cal bullets in my 50 cal m-l. You can try slight bullet variations, .451” or .452”, you have to...
