I have a very good friend who lives in Northern New Mexico and they have some great Mule deer hunting. Tags aren't easy to draw but I figured I would try and need a recommendation on a muzzleloader that would be legal. What would be a good muzzleloader that specifically fits their regulations?

i am running the 250 gr ST2 in my smokeless 45 and they perform very well on deer. I just haven't run them out to 300 yet.

I headed down there for a couple days in the muzzleloader season but didn't hunt. Just scouted a number of areas around Kirksville for this upcoming season. I did run into a few nice deer and did see a few guys out during the week but overall very little pressure compared to where I live. Trying...

I always use JB bore paste in new barrels before shooting them, seems to condition them a little.
