not sure what you mean about 100/100. im not ordering right now, so i can wait for the 260 to come into stock. thats actually exactly what i was thinking about doing. give me one more bullet option to play with.

yep... total price shipped at this point, they are cheapest... just need to add a couple bucks to get to their $40 purchase minimum, which wont be difficult at all.

unfortunately they do not have harvester black smooth sabots, otherwise id go that route because i could easily spend $49 there.

thanks. ive been looking at natchez as im planning on buying both bullets and sabots at the same place rather than pay shipping 2x. its 16 for 50 deep curls, $7 for smooth black, $7 for crush rib black and $13 shipping, which is very high. but im going to check out grafs and midsouth. thanks.

help me dial in my accuracy

yep, for sure after this season. im excited to try out a 45 cal 300g deep curl with the thinner sabot. looks like they make 3 black sabots... crush, as well as a long and short smooth harvester. they say the long is for 300gr and up, and the short is for 300gr and down. they just opened an...

help me dial in my accuracy

hmm. that is a bit over my head. what does it say for 200 yards? would be able to confirm its semi accurate if its saying somewhere around 13" low at 200 yards. many thanks though! thats awesome.

cci 209M blackhorn 209 - 100 grains HARVESTOR SABOTS(green) non crush rib Hornady 44Cal .430"Dia PISTOL BULLETS 240 GR HP XTP i plan on switching out to the 300gr deep curl and black sabots and seeing if i can get a load dialed up for them, but it will have to wait till after this season...

help me dial in my accuracy

Just wanted to report back a big ole thank you to the group. i switched to the non-ribbed harvesters and got my groups down to 1moa. here is a 3 round group at 200 yards. measured out to 2"... hell yeah! https://imgur.com/Z7rljTB now to figure out where it shoots at 150 yards so i can...

ohh, so it does have a HP. i was thinking of the sierra 300gr. so basically ill just keep my current ramrod/starter setup. here in PA we get the best of both worlds, IMO... a traditional hunt.. iron sights, flintlock only, no blaze orange required, antlered or antlerless, but its late in the...

ok cool. sounds to me that yours are loading a bit easier actually. so maybe a bit tighter of a fit is in order. id love to remove the pointed loading jag as it adds extra length to my RR which doesnt allow me to leave the palm saver on. seems like most people use them though. like the...

help me dial in my accuracy

i currently am able to load semi "easy" as in, i dont have to slam the ramrod up and down. basically i can start it with the ramrod(occasionally ill need the starter ball for the first 1/2"), and then i can get it down the rest of the way with 2 hands on the rod, only for the last 3" where i...

help me dial in my accuracy

to be honest, i think i was being very generous with that guestimate. it was a situation where i was basically at 3ish inches at 100 yards, and then at 200 i was playing with the different hold over crosshairs, so i had no real measurement to go off of, and i didnt really care about anything...

according to harvestor, green are for .429-.430. and my XTPs are .430". ill keep my fingers crossed that the slick ones will help out. the more i think about it, the more im bewildered as to why its shooting 3moa. seems a bit shocking.

thanks everyone. so it sounds like a couple of you are saying switching to the green smooth sabots will help, but most everyone is saying new bullets? i was hoping just swapping to new sabots would do it. guess ill have to take a few range trips, one of which real soon. sight in the new...

ok, so a quick thought on the pro's and cons of the 300 vs 240? assuming the main goal is to take deer out to 200 yards. do you think i need to go to a different bullet, or do you think ill have good luck playing with different sabots? i can do either, id just like to not have to try 50...

help me dial in my accuracy

ill have to check my cleaning products. just recently found out that bh209 likes centerfire cleaners. never heard the teflon thing. clean and dry before loading... aka dry swab it? should i send some primers down the barrel to foul it first? keep BP clean? what does that stand for? as...

help me dial in my accuracy

interesting. unfortunately that would require me to get new sabots too... but if thats the only thing that will tighten my groups, i suppose that is what i need to do. for some reason, i can only find them as sabot packages. rather than bullets with sabots separately...

thanks. do you think they will be ideal though? i read that harvesters are typically the thinnest. should i get mmp? im pretty sure i have the right color for my 240g bullets.
