    Ron's bullet testing results

Ron, why did you not use the red sabots that came with the Hornady MonoFlex, is the Harvester small base sabots heavier duty. I'm shooting the MonoFlex ML in my Accura v2 LR with Blackhorn Powder. Always eager to learn and wish to thank you for help.

    Melanoma

Tom, I joined this forum late Sept. and was searching posts for cleaning products and saw this post. Sorry to hear you're going through this. I have the same problem but so far just squamous cell detected. Like you, in my youth skin protection was not stressed like it is now. Like NatureNick I...

    Bullets/loads for Accura v2

I got the CVA Accura V2 LR this Sept. and just sighted in 250 gr. Aerolite PB's. They shot very well but I'm wanting to try a sabot load that's more sensibly priced for my pocket book, but still works good on deer. Your FTX load looks very good, was wondering how was expansion if bullet was...

First Post: Sealing 209 Primer Pocket

I thought about the .45 in the LR but stayed with .50 in case of elk hunt in Colo. Maybe in future.

    Howdy from Oklahoma

Well I'm from central Ok and love to hunt, fish and pretty much all outdoor activities. Also started dabbling in woodworking after I retired. Looking forward to gaining ideas and knowledge here and sharing thoughts on all things. Not new to muzzleloading just 209 primers and Blackhorn powder...

First Post: Sealing 209 Primer Pocket

Hello, new member with question about 209 primers, not new to BP or inline, just to 209 primer. Traded in '97 CVA Apollo for CVA Accura LR and like what I see and how it handles but haven't sighted it in yet. I always like to research things I'm not familiar with so this question, is the o-ring...

    Primers for Blackhorn powder

Thanks, like I said I haven't used BH or 209's before and my son-in-law just purchased his first muzzle loader, CVA Accura V2, we appreciate the info. I went digging in posts from years ago and learned something extremely important about BH 209 breechplug, that you can't use with pelleted...

    Primers for Blackhorn powder

Thanks for the reply, I've been scouring the internet and BH web site. Can't find CCI 209M or Federal 209A locally or online the places I looked. Hazmat charges are ridiculous, cost prohibitive. I did find Winchester W209 primers at BP so will try them even tho' BH doesn't list them as recommended.

    Primers for Blackhorn powder

Okay, I've been smoke pole hunting since the early '80s. Have T/C Renegade .54 and T/C Hawken .50, in '97 bought first inline (CVA Apollo .50) and have only used percussion caps. Traded in Apollo recently for CVA Accura V2 LR and have been reading about BH powder and decided to try it, learned...
