    Opening Day Muzzleloader success!!!

I I guess it depends on the legalities of your state. Over here we have no legal requirement to take any meat at all so I don't have any quirky laws to deal with. I typically bone out the bag legs, hock the forequarters, take out the back straps, tenderloins and heart. I can fit all of that in...

    I have cancer

I hope all is well my friend. Two of my good friends (I prefer the company of people older than myself) have been through that in the past couple of years. Both are going strong today. My prayers are with you though I'm sure they won't be needed.

What kind of stuff do you all read?

I read a lot of military history antiquity to 19th century. Modern warfare doesnt interest me. I love hunting books related to Africa up to the early 20th century - not Capstick. I know he's one of your countrymen but his writing was exaggerated if it wasn't complete BS. My favourite author is...

    Unique whitetail

Beautiful animal and lovely photo. He'll either end up in someone's freezer and on their wall or turning to dust in his home. Either is fine by me.

Great stuff mate, and nice write up. 190 metres is good shooting, can't knock the old muzzleloaders with results like that.

    Muzzleloader elk hunt in rain

When I used to hunt with an inline I never gave rain a second thought and it never bothered the gun either. Tape the muzzle and carry on.

The reason I suspect my CVA was cheap.

I'll be over that way in a few weeks with my flinter. Hopefully bump something.

The reason I suspect my CVA was cheap.

They definitely come up here and there, the few in Aus that do use BP know quality and snap them up very quickly is all. I can’t remember if I asked, what part of Aus are you in?
