    17 hmr split cases

Well, it was a freehand plinking session. I have yet to put it on a bench to test accuracy.

Thank you brother. I purchased the rifle through buds with the lifetime warranty, so shouldn’t be a problem getting repaired…

    17 hmr split cases

Definitely not a 17 hornet Citadel does not make one in that caliber. I wish they made a 22 hornet. I would pick up one of those things but they’re too darn expensive. The idea of reloading 22 sounds appealing.

    17 hmr split cases

To the left are the split cases to the right are normal cases. Sorry about the quality of the photos. Thank you all for your replies. I am still wondering if this is the ammo or rifle. Further testing is needed before contacting warranty repair center.

    17 hmr split cases

Hey guys I have a 17hmr it’s a citadel trakr and ever case of Winchester ammo is splitting. I have not attempted to run the Hornady ammo I purchased. Went to the country range with only the Winchester. Is this going to be a warranty issue? Is it common? Potentially unsafe? The internet in...

Tungsten Turkey Ammo: Is It Worth It?

Only worth it if lead no longer kills birds. I assume it does so my answer is no.

    Changing front bead on shotgun

As you already found it’s simple to do. Congrats on the new site. I made the mistake of installing duck busters or something of that nature on my shotgun. It featured a high viz., front bead and rear site for a shotgun. Big mistake. Everything I shot at was about 6 to 8 inches high at 30 to...

    30-06 reloading

Same info on the 110 per Hornady I can confirm Lee is a little hotter for most loads. Starting 10% under min listed is acceptable most times. Just give the completed cartridge a shake and hold it up to your ear. Too much space is bad too little can also be bad. You will get a feel for it...

Looking for help with DIY bluing.

There are YouTube videos out there that show how to to a home made blue. I purchased a pistol kit years ago it is still unblued I apply mineral oil every 6 months or so. Eventually I will try the you tube method.

    30-06 reloading

Yes I have before. As stated above load data is available down to 110 lighter bullet more powder. The boat tail has little advantage honestly under 300 yards. They were just cheaper. I can give you pics of all the weights listed for 30.06 in the Lee book. As always start with the min charge and...

    30-06 reloading

30/06 is one of the first cartridges I started reloading. It’s fairly forgiving. I use 150 grain fmjbt. I now reload all calibers I own. I chose 150 grain because it plays well with .300 blk and it’s cheaper. For 30/06 I used h380 now I probably have others that will work too. Glad to hear you...

    single stage reload speed

    I now reload all my calibers (.380 ACP, 9mm, .45 ACP, 30/06, 350 Legend, 450 BM, .50 BEO, 7.62 x 39, 7.62 x54 R, .300 BLK, 5.56, .224 Valkyrie, 6.5 Grendel, 7.65 X 53 Argentine, 6.5 Carcano, 11mm GRAS and probably a few more forgot). I generally try not to reload 9mm because the cost of the...

    Help, Semi-Auto rifle

Excellent idea! Probably one of the best ways to stay fluid. Carry a 12 gauge carry your inserts and whatever ammo comes your way and you have an insert for you’re good to go. Not without its limitations. The biggest one being it’s a single shot. That’s going to be hard to defend against a...

    Help, Semi-Auto rifle

You bring up a very valid point. While the nato calibers maybe in high demand by the powers that remain I am thinking of private sector stock piles. Also, if the ammo factories go down nato will be produced until “the end” whenever that may be. Think of all the civilian ar’s sold in America...

Hey brother, you know where I live I’ll just wait 15 minutes until I come across another one lol.

    I mixed powders on accident.

Sometimes I’m so damn cheap. I’ve got 10 pounds of little gun yet. I still want to save this two ounces. I’m going to use the tweezer method. H4895 is a rod, the little gun is spherical. After it separated, I may or may not use it. Lol fun project for those cold Michigan days.

So when you say that, are you basing that information off of statistical data or your personal experience? Again, personal preference but you can’t get your hands on parts when your mini does have parts that need replacing you would be harder pressed to find them. That’s ultimately the point...

    Help, Semi-Auto rifle

So this is one of my AR rifles. It is chambered in my favorite ar round .300 blk. There are certainly some things that I would change before, considering this a good rifle for SHTF. Number one all traces of chrome must go, including that muzzle brake, and the decorative skull on the mag well...
