    17 hmr split cases

Hey guys I have a 17hmr it’s a citadel trakr and ever case of Winchester ammo is splitting. I have not attempted to run the Hornady ammo I purchased. Went to the country range with only the Winchester. Is this going to be a warranty issue? Is it common? Potentially unsafe? The internet in...

    I mixed powders on accident.

Long story short, I had some H4895 in a scale (about 18 grains) that got mixed into a couple ounces of lil gun. Think it's still safe to use? I think ill be ok just need confirmation. Alternatively I could chuck the powder or pull out the H4895 rods out with tweezers.

    Sad day father passed

Hello my modern muzzle loader family. Yesterday was a very sad and unfortunate day. My father passed away. He was only 77 he suffered a stroke and I suspect it was not the only one but the last in a series of strokes. He was feeling “forgetful” in his own words. He made an appointment as we...

    Reloading information evaporates

Is it just me or are reloading recipes being removed from new versions of reloading books? Am I going crazy or are they actually removing certain powders not because they’re out of production either. I may be a conspiracy theorist, but I think that a powder has too much cross compatibility...

    Beer

Hey guys, I just recently got into beer brewing. A fantastic hobby I highly recommend it. It’s pretty simple to start off with one of those brew kits. All you need is the kit some bottles and a large stockpot also a 5 gallon bucket to sanitize your goods. Since then, I’ve also made my own...

So just for kicks I bought a bullet casting mold for .45 to make some cast bullets for my muzzle loader and possibly my .45 acp pistol. For my muzzle loader they will be in crush rib black sabots shot out of a CVA wolf .50 cal. My question is do I really, absolutely need a lead tester...

    And this is what happens

And this is what happens when you go out shooting with some of the nicest people in Michigan and they bring there toys to the party. Eventually you shoot something you like and say oh man I “need” one of those! My enabler Mr. Michiganmuzzy said it’s ok though. I wish I could have bought them...

I just found the most entertaining and enjoyable fly swatting tool

For some reason my room, my bedroom got more than its fair share of flies for a moment I wondered if there was a rodent or something that had died in the crawlspace. I was not happy about the fact. And I did not have a flyswatter handy. So necessity is the mother of improvisation. I thought I...

    New mosin 20 year wait

Many many years ago, I owned a mosin nagant. I have always had a love for vintage rifles. That mosin I purchased for $125 in California from a sporting good store. I never got to shoot it but believe me, it got held more than my girlfriend at the time. That’s probably why the relationship ended...

    I bought a Cricket

Just got this from my FFL. It's a little silly tacticool but I'm sure it will be a squirrel getter for a level three operator. It is equipped with a bi-pod, laser beam sight muzzle brake. Soon I will add a pistol red dot sight once I get the proprietary rail. All that tacicool on a single shot...

    Welcome to Michigan

Welcome to Michigan where the best job you can find is the worst job you've ever had. Anyone else find themselves working for child managers who have no idea what FIFO means? Or how to implement a kanban system? In California I was on the fast road to a 6 figure salary now I work for dominos...

6.5 Carcano in Black Powder for the Vetterli

Hey guys I just purchased something very special. An old Vetterli rifle that has been chambered in 6.5 Carcano. I thought it'd be a good thing to get because I already have five Carcano Calvary rifles. I'm addicted to these vintage things. Since I bought the 5-carcanos I had to reload because...

Kind of modern kind of old thought I'd share.

Hey folks so my collection has grown substantially. I recently acquired what I feel is the pride of my collection. I purchased a Carcano carbine. I got mine from Royal tiger imports. The one I received was manufactured in early1918. Which means it was most likely used in both world wars along...

Need suggestions for cheap rifle kit.

Hey everybody I have an extensive collection of rifles mainly modern but I am looking to fill a void. It occurred to me that it would be pretty cool to have an old fashioned flintlock rifle. I noticed that there are many do-it-yourself kits out there. I think that would be pretty fun as long as...
