    Knight UL Western Ignition

I just purchased a used Knight 45 UL with nitride, it’s a CO edition and I’m in OR so I need to buy a western bolt and breach. I figured I’d ask here before purchasing a new one.

Knight UL or CVA Accura V2

Ya, they are out of stock so I may end up having to do some sizing or maybe even some paper patching? I would love to find someone that wants to give up a box or two of those sabotless bullets though. Maybe I'll post up a wanted add

    Opinions on Burris

My buddy has had an eliminator on a hunting rifle for several years and has had great luck with it.

    Opinions on Burris

I've seen a couple of the eliminators on muzzle loaders on videos and those would be awesome but even used they are over $500 which IMO is a pretty expensive scope for a smoke pole.

Knight UL or CVA Accura V2

Thanks, I have a lot to learn. I shot some PA Conicals this fall and put them in right on top off the powder, they were covered in wax in the package. Do all bullets require a wad of some sort under them?

Knight UL or CVA Accura V2

Are those the ones that are being shot with paper patches? I've been watching a bunch of you tube videos on paper patched bull shops and am excited seeing the accuracy. I just don't know how those would do packing them around in the woods for several miles a day for days on end before getting a...

Knight UL or CVA Accura V2

I might end up going that route, I already reload all of my rifle ammo for my boys and I and also have a press and do all of my own work on all of our bows and build our arrows. I'm going to need to add on to the house soon.

Knight UL or CVA Accura V2

I was actually going to purchase a new one and I saw that one pop up on one of the classifieds and jumped on it. Now if I could just find a nitride western bolt assembly:)

    Hello from Oregon

I joined a few weeks ago but haven't posted yet on the welcome forum. I went on my first muzzleloader hunt this fall and am hooked. I borrowed an old bpi buckhorn from a buddy and ended up killing my first muzzle loader deer. I've been archery hunting deer for years and for about the last 5...

Knight UL or CVA Accura V2

I'm also coming up short trying to find bullets. I planned on using Lehigh bullets but there 3-4 months out on the .458's I was wanting.

Knight UL or CVA Accura V2

I ended up finding and purchasing a Nitride Coated UL 45 that has never been shot. It is a Colorado version so I will have to buy a western bolt assembly conversion kit.

    Jerky Recipe

I would recommend if your new to making jerky to go buy a big or little chief smoker and use that. Using the oven can really make a mess of it and your old lady might not be too happy with you next time she goes to cook a pizza and fills the house with smoke:)

    Jerky Recipe

I cut my jerky meat into 10+ inch strips about 1/2" across. If you have small pieces you can either buy some cookie cooling racks to put in the oven or smoker or go to the hardware store and buy some of the mesh they use to make rabbit cages or even use a small piece of chicken wire to keep the...

    Jerky Recipe

If you are inpatient and want to brine the jerky faster you can add the brine and meat into a vacuum sealer bag and remove all of the air. Normally if done this way the meat is totally saturated after 24hrs or less. You can tell the meat is fully cured by the brine when you cut it with...
