Nice bullet cross sections! Thanks for posting those!

What Bullet is everyone using ?

Well I have umpteen muzzleloaders, both sidelock and inline. This year I'm going to use up the last of the 250 gr T/C Shockwaves in the Traditions Canyon. These are otherwise known as Hornady SSTs. They will be in the supplied sabots, seated on 2 fifty gr Pyrodex Pellets set off by a T7 primer...

    Need a new nipple

To add to my first post, if Knight doesn't have what you need, try Track of the Wolf. Look under 'gun parts' for nipples. They list umpteen thread diameters and pitches and even call out journal lengths and such. If TOW doesn't have one, nobody does.

    Need a new nipple

Why not just buy one from Knight? Am I missing something here???

Williams FP on Knight plunger type rifles.

Thanks for the pics, don't need to grind for the bolt as the Wolverine is a plunger action but the first pic is very helpful for clearing the stock.

Williams FP on Knight plunger type rifles.

Not really wanting to inlet the left side of the stock for the elevation adjustment bar. Was hoping I could avoid that.

Williams FP on Knight plunger type rifles.

It's my understanding that the Williams FP peep sight when installed on Knight BOLT ACTION rifles requires some extra modifications to either the sight and/or bolt handle. What modifications are required for installation on Knight PLUNGER rifles? Namely a Wolverine. Thanks!

    New Knight Wolverine

Called Knight. Took a few calls to get a live person. Must be busy. Ordered a Wolverine. To make a long story short the gentleman I spoke with claims you don't need different hammers for the #11/Musket cap vs 209 fpj. All you need is the proper breech plug and/or nipple. He says this only...

    New Knight Wolverine

I'm calling Knight tomorrow to order one. Not sure how I'll go about getting both #11 and 209 fpj ignitions AND the camo I like but I'm sure the CS rep will help me sort through all of it. Been researching peep sights. I've found some of Sabotloaders old posts on this subject. That has been...

    Light youth deer load

I once shot a very large mature whitetail doe at a lasered 157 yards. Muzzle velocity was right at 1830 fps. Impact velocity would of been roughly 1330 fps. The bullet was a Hornady 240 gr 44 Cal XTP. Bullet performance was perfect. Doe was broadside. Bullet broke rib going in, put a nice hole...

    New Knight Wolverine

So if I am understanding this correctly, all one needs to swap between ignition systems on Knight plunger rifles is the correct breech plug and the correct hammer. Yes, no? I do shoot loose powder. Mostly Goex. Some Pyrodex. I do have a supply of pellets I need to shoot up but I have other...

    traditions pursuit sabot suggestions.

I own a Traditions Canyon. It's a 24" barreled Pursuit for all intents and purposes. I get great accuracy from T7 primer, 2 50gr Pyrodex pellets, and either a 240gr XTP or a 250gr XTP, both with the supplied sabots. Expansion out to 100 or so yards is great on deer sized game. I imagine a 150 gr...

    New Knight Wolverine

Interested in buying a new Knight Wolverine. Always sort of regretted not buying one years ago. Knight offers two models. One 209 and one #11/Musket cap. Knight seems to offer a conversion kit for #11 to 209 but not the other way around. Are the hammers that different between the two types of...

Temptation lead me astray. New ML purchase.

Been away from sidelocks for years. Had moved onto inlines. Problem is the darn inlines don't look good beside my two longbows on the rack! :D On a lark I called the Log Cabin Shop this morning and asked about current models being made and what was best for my needs at the price I was willing...

    Horrible accuracy with 10ml-2.

Update on the Savage. I eliminated one variable by pulling the scope + base and tried shooting it at 50 yards with the open sights. I tried 38grs of 5744 + a MMP black sabot + .452 250gr XTP. 3 shot group measured CTC was 2 9/16". I can shoot my H-R Huntsman with open sights better than that...

Need help, any knowledgable Knight folks on here?

All things considered equal, would the typical Mountaineer be considerably more accurate than the typical Extreme or is it a case of splitting hairs?

Need help, any knowledgable Knight folks on here?

Does the Mountaineer have the forked lug the Disc Elites had? Does the Disc Extreme have the retangle 'plain' lug or has it been updated to a different design like the forked lug or similar? Trying to figure out if I need the 'extras' the Mountaineer may or may not have over the Extreme.

Need help, any knowledgable Knight folks on here?

No, a fellow I knew wanted all my Knight stuff including the Extreme with the ruined barrel (he knew all about it) as he had a couple Knights himself and wanted the stock off of mine and some of Knight accessories I had. Paid me more than he should of for the Extreme, but he had to have had.

Need help, any knowledgable Knight folks on here?

The reason why I'm really curious about the construction of the synthetic stocks is this- I called Knight back when they were not producing rifles but were handling parts/warranty issues to see if I could buy a replacement barreled action for my old Extreme. They sent me one but it would not...

Need help, any knowledgable Knight folks on here?

Used to own a Knight Disc Extreme. Positively loved that rifle. I ruined the barrel during a nasty wet hunt because I was not able to clean it soon enough. So in the last couple or three years I've been searching for a replacement. Nothing really measures up to what that Knight was. Thought the...
