    Most desirable white

Yeah, my Super 91's chambered in .451 are my all-time favorites. It really came from back in 1991 when I was shooting a T/C Renegade side lock, and I walked into Blue Ridge Sporting Supplies and watched the White video playing on the TV there. I watched it all the way through again, then...

    Surprised to Say the Least

Doc designed these rifles to shoot on a dirty bore. I've tested this to the max. One day, I shot 75 times in a row and NEVER swabbed the bore once. I have done this with Pyrodex P and 777 fffg. I was exhausted after these shooting sessions, but had a blast doing them. I was shooting on a...

    Goose Hunt with Grandsons

Pretty awesome Ed! Great memories! We have been cooking our geese on the grill lately and everyone LOVES it that way. I breast the bird out, and butterfly the breast meat so it is fairly thin. Then do a marinade for a while, get the grill SUPER hot, and toss em on just long enough to sear...

    So this is where

You guys have run off to....been a while, hope everyone is doing well! Boy, do I need to get out and burn some powder! I bought a really nice M98 in .451 the other day and gave it to my oldest son, but we have yet to get out and shoot it. Soon as the ice and snow clears out a little, we are...

    Powder question?

I never take the can of 777 outside my shop. I always throw loads with my Harrell's Precision measure, put the loads into marked vials, seal the can and place back in the powder vault. I've had several of my friends have the same experience I have had, so I don't know what is going on. I know...

This one deserves his own post.

Wow....beautiful buck right there. Public land in FL make that a serious HOSS right there. Very nice! Way to go..... :D

    Powder question?

Super Powder? Sounds like something up my ally..... I have an Encore with a .451 barrel I put on there I was thinking about shooting the BH in. The 777 I had from the year before, sealed in the original container, stored in my powder vault in my dry basement/workshop, would go "Boom...

    Powder question?

Been out of the loop for a few years due to shooting smokeless. I bought a can of BH209 about 3-4 years ago but never opened it, just put it in the powder vault with the others. My question is, will BH lose its potency like 777 will? I have bought 777 and the next year it was worthless. I...

    .410 White

Yeah, it makes no sense. The gun is legal one minute, and not the next. But you had better not upset the good ole OUght-six anyway....

    .410 White

Steve, you can use it during regular rifle season here, go figure.....

    HOLY WHITE!

Hey Busta, been a while. Just been really busy lately. Thanks for the link. Glad CO finally got past that one. Keep that lead flying!

    HOLY WHITE!

Bout time! I never did see the "logic" behind that restriction. I have a 660 grainer that just rolls along oh-so-accurately. Cool!

    HOLY WHITE!

70-75 grains of 777 in ffg worked the best in my .504s. Same load in Swiss if you want to go with real black. Pyrodex P is better in the .451's but will shoot okay in the .504's. I got my best groups with 90 grains of P. Get some NoExcuse bullets in 495 grains. Best bullet for the $ you can...

    HOLY WHITE!

You have found a really nice rifle there. That is the rifle I would carry to CO myself if I ever get to go that way for a muzzleloader hunt. Let us know how she shoots when you get her out to the range. Looks like you really got a steal of a deal.

    AO Scopes

Optics planet Bear Basin SWFA Sportsmans warehouse My Nightforce is one seriously tough scope. Awesome optics too. Very repeatable. Not cheap, but not terribly expensive when you consider what you get.

    AO Scopes

The two brands I have had zero problems with are Kahles and Nightforce. Other than that, I have had trouble with every other scope manufacturer I have ever purchased from, includiung all listed here. I think Leupolds are pretty decent, esp the upper end scopes, but I've still had those give me...

    Couple of powder questions

Okay guys, I had a few thoughts. I noticed that my hinnge pin was in a different spot most every time I took the forearm off, so I am having my machinist make me a new pin that has a head on it so it locks in place, similar to Mr. Epp's design but not the same. Of course I am not making these...
