Try some 250-300 grain .452 cal. Hornady XTP's. Inexpensive, easy to size, obturate well, you may need a veggie or fiber wad. I've shot them thru cheaply made CVA 45-70 converted SML barrels and expensive .458 Brux barrels with good accuracy.

I had to look it up, sometimes they are called wild leeks or spring onions but they are neither from what I read. They sound tasty.

I went with oversized hinge pins for my Apex's for the reason Encore mentioned. I also float the barrel channels and make sure the forearms are snug.

Unfortunately, I believe the OP, Carlos, passed away a short time ago. That guy could shoot! Encore, it amazes me how fast we can get a chunk of copper and lead to go. After I get my brake installed, I may venture into that territory, right now, 285grs at 2700fps will do :cool:
