    A couple of cows

Yes, those are the bullets we use. We didn't find the bullets but it was a long day and we didn't spend any time looking. Here's a bullet from 2018.

    A couple of cows

We filled our tags on November 14th, the morning of day 8 of a 9 day season. A couple of nice cows, both taken with Remington 700's. 385gr Plains bullets and 110gr of Goex 2F. I shot from 165 yards and have never shot that far. I held right on and as I was walking out to find the animal, it...

    Palmetto inline

Does anyone know who built these rifles and their quality. I found one NIB for sale and didn't know Palmetto ever sold them. Thanks, Ken

Most accurate In Line, for the money

Yes, when I bought the rifle online the guy said it was in excellent condition, however the barrel was pitted. I bought the replacement Remington barrel from a guy that was using the remy actions to build smokeless rifles. The barrel was $50 shipped.

Most accurate In Line, for the money

Remington 700 385 Plains bullet 110gr FF2. 50 and 100 yards. Rifle $200, getcha one if you ever have the opportunity. This was my pre-hunt check to see if it was still on the money.

    Bullet velocity?

I shoot a Remington 700 inline with a musket cap. 110gr FF2 under a 385gr plains bullet. Any idea of muzzle velocity?

    Elk, no Bull.

No, but we did pattern them going to feed at late evening and returning to where ever in hell they go in the morning. We got lucky and knew the general area where they might travel. This animal went down in late evening and it was a long night for this old man.

    Elk, no Bull.

She was close maybe 50 yards. Peep sight with aperture removed. For me a ghost ring is much more effective particularly if an animal is running, and Elk don't often hold still for me. This was the last animal in a group and the last animal will stop and turn to see if their threat is following them.

    postal shipping rates

My wife sells a lot on Ebay and FedEx has better rates for heavier items. Look at smart post and home delivery.

    Elk, no Bull.

Central Oregon ML Elk hunt in early November. Remy 700 385gr plains bullet over 110gr FF2. Found the bullet under the hide. Fortunately this one only went about 20 yards before she tipped over. Great fun and hard work.

I'm a muzzle loading pilgrim. I was invited on a ML Elk hunt in Colorado this season and went using a borrowed rifle. It was a Knight with a paddle stock. It seemed to shoot pretty good. I did see Elk, but never long enough to put a bullet in one. Anyway, I poking around and trying to learn as...
