1858 Reproduction Pistol

I watched a couple of videos and I was able to disassemble my 1858 "made in Italy" revolver. It appears that the pawl spring is what broke inside the gun.
What I don't know is it made by Uberti or Pietta? I found parts available for both makers. The pawl hand looks very similar to what I have but not an exact match.
I don't know if there's a real difference and will the part fit. I kind of don't see why it wouldn't but I'm no expert, that's for sure.

Not that I'm aware of. I did find a close match to what I need at Dixie Gun Works for under 6 bucks. The picture looks almost like what I have. Maybe I'll just order it and see what happens.

I think both makers built the 1858 replicas at some point. It might not matter which brand part you buy. I true replica should only require a little minor fitting.

I ordered the hand pawl from Dixie Gun works. The picture of the part on the website looks pretty close to what I have now.
I watched a video of a guy who made a spring out of a bobby pin.
I spent some time trying to get the rest of the broken spring out of the little slot, ain't happening. Would have been a easy fix. Maybe, Lol.
