35 Whelen project

Do you know the twist??? I have the quicker twist I think 1/14. It shoots the older style Barnes 300 grain bullets very nicely. Remington made it in 1/16 I think. Their idea was to make it for shooting 250 grain bullets and lighter which is very substantial. If any of you watching has a 35 Whelen with a 1/14 twist and wants some 300 grain bullets let me know. Ive had them for 30 years and I dont think Ill ever need them.

The .35 Whelen would be ALL that’s needed, even loaded down to Fun to Shoot, Awesome Caliber

You wanna know what is even more fun?? An M1 Garand converted over to .35 Whelen!! I had one once, awesome deer gun! Saddly though, it burned with my other Garands, 1903s, Lee Enfields, Arisaka 38 & 99, Mausers, Mosins, Springfield 1873 trapdoor, SKSs, 1941 Johnson Rifle, and other vintage rifles and handguns.

Not lately. Hunting season and all. Real load development will commence when the seasons are over. I will update
