45/357 MMP sabots

I called MMP today. They are sending me some samples of the 45/357 sabots. I already got some Fury .358 180gr. and Hornady 180gr. XTP. I figured since I already got the bullets, might as well get a few sabots and try them.

They will be very short for a 180gr bulllet. The PR version of that sabot is longer. Neither sabot though fits a .358 well. A .355 fits much much better.

Good thing I got a smooth sizing die.

What would be a good powder to try? I'm figuring a slower powder, a slower rise to peak.

Del was the only person i knew that shot it with success. I believe he used H4895 and the PR Dead Center 45x357

I wonder how many grains? Just to have a starting point.
