I'm looking for any info on the .58 cal Harrington and Richardson Springfield Stalker. They were made between 1969 and 1980 and resemble the Springfield 1861 (Mine is 1975 vintage) Nice wood - good metal. Seems like it was modeled after a foraging gun. I've trying to find any reviews or factory documentation on them, but so far not much to go on. Some blog trivia, but that's about it. Overall, a nice American made .58 - shallow rifling - 12 shallow lands and grooves and a 1:72 twist ( I think). H&R made them in .45 and .58. I know H&R is out of business, but there must be soem data out there some where.

You may have better responses in the sidelock traditional forums seeing as this is the inline forum, idaholewis on here is pretty informative on the sidelocks
