Went to Dixon's and bought 2 molds. A .50 and .54 Lyman Plains. 395 grains for the .50 and 425 grains for the .54. BIG lead...
$80 each. Not terrible to have bullets forever!
I'm hopeful my rifles will like them. One Hawken likes the Hornady version. Hope my .54 Renegade ( Sharon barrel 1-48) does too. Sabots will always be my go to/ favorite load, but sometimes a big chunk of lead is not only appropriate, but down right comforting!
Be just my luck my 6 1/4 pound .50 caliber Firehawk will like them. I imagine she will "introduce herself" when the sears trip...
