We filled our tags on November 14th, the morning of day 8 of a 9 day season. A couple of nice cows, both taken with Remington 700's. 385gr Plains bullets and 110gr of Goex 2F. I shot from 165 yards and have never shot that far. I held right on and as I was walking out to find the animal, it struck me that maybe I should have aimed a little high. I'm sighted in at 2" high at 100. The Elk went about 20 yards and tipped over. Mine hung at 337lbs and I got 206 lbs of boneless meat. It was a great day that I'll not soon forget. My Tacoma has a 5'bed. :)

AWESOME Job! :lewis: Were those the 385 Grain Hornady Great Plains, Hollow Point Bullets? Did you recover them by chance?

Yes, those are the bullets we use. We didn't find the bullets but it was a long day and we didn't spend any time looking. Here's a bullet from 2018.
