FINALLY! Aperture sight for my 99 that:
1- Has repeatable adjustments.
2- Does not require any stock, or metal work, to fit!
3- The finish is a perfect match to the rifle.
I have spent a RIDICULOUS amount of money looking for the perfect sight. Now I have it.
It's literally new in the box. Original price?
$ 7.50.
I paid orders of magnitude more...
But it's worth it! My 1948 99EG. 300, is in excellent condition. We're it not for some trivial dings she'd be, practically, new. There was literally no finish wear internally when I got her back in October.
There is now...
I'm itching to zero her and get some load development done.
Sometime soon, I will be selling the other sights.
Lyman 30 1/2
Lyman 56S
Marbles tang sight ( the new ones)
Will post where they belong when put them up for sale.

The 99 was my first rifle. It is a 1961 vintage (.243) and will pass for new. It has the original Weaver steel 4X on it and it is still clear.

The 99 is a fascinating rifle with quite a history. Folk love or hate them. Not much in between.
I was a Marlin man. Still think they're AWESOME rifles, especially the old waffletop 336A. But the Savage 99...
Just SO different. Challenges all their own.
And while there may be better rounds than the .300 Savage out there, its SO old school cool to say " It's a .300".
