O and Joe were in the white house for 8 YEARS and i never had a problem getting guns, ammo, primers or powder. I dont worry about what folks think or believe might happen. I believe what i see and have seen. This is panic driven due to covid, Minnesota violence and a controversial election and maybe also a result of our trade (war?) with china. That doesnt mean i didnt prepare and buy as much supplies to cover my needs for a couple years. I can still get some of the reloading supplies i want online and occasionally in stores. Dont feed into the panic. Just be patient.

I don't know how rural the OP or his S-N-L are, but in my experience during runs on ammo like this the farm stores and feed stores have ammo, generally speaking. It was never at the prices we got used to in Wally World, but they tend to have product on the shelves.
I'm not talking about Tractor Supply. They're just another chain store. I mean the one off farm store, like I used to frequent in the booming metropolis of Salisbury, NH, or North Creek, NY.
Of course you don't have the convenience of online ordering, nor inventory tracking, but you can find things.
My 2 cents.

I own a gun shop. This started with the first COVID lock downs in March. Was out of handguns and handgun ammo by July. Ordered what I could of hunting ammo in July before it disappeared. It too was gone by September. People are still ringing my phone off the hook asking for ammo. Most people are just now finding out there is a shortage. I’m tired off all the people spreading rumors and getting mad because I can’t get stuff ordered in. I tell them to go buy toilet paper and then they sorta get a little easier to deal with!

I like that. Probably the only way some understand. And some still won't understand. And some, probably most, city folks think the steaks, burgers, chops, chicken parts in the meat section at the store are grown that way.

Well, its a matter of perspective I guess. Ive been hunting and shooting for over 50 years and Ive never seen anything like this. I had to drive 2 hours to a remote store in Jamestown NY to find 1 can of H4895. (which I did) The shelves were all empty where dozens of boxes of shells once were. I was stunned. This is serious stuff my friends. Hunting and shooting has been my life. I am very very concerned......for all of us.

You are mistaken comparing this shortage to anything you have (EVER) seen in your lifetime .I think you are dreaming if you compare toilet paper to your 2nd amendment .The only thing both have in common is they are both going down the toilet !! I would have bet the USA would never embraced socialism but it is here to stay if the senate is lost ,and thats not an opinion just a fact ! Ed

I have an ample supply of everything I need to shoot more than I have years left I bought $2000.00 for powder and primers several years back Over the years I accumulated many rifle and ML'er bullets Hoarding never crossed my mind just wanted to be stocked up I have powders that I see people want but have no way to get it too them can't ship powder I did sell some primers to a guy who lives in Maryland he picked them up in person I sold them for what I paid for them I see where some people are selling them for as high as $150.00 outrages I would never pay that much I Live in Ocean View Delaware in close proximity to the lower eastern shore of Maryland I watch the wanted threads if I see something wanted and I have it and it's legal to ship or meet in person I will sell it for as close as I can remember to the price I paid. If you think that Biden, Harris, with the help of O'Rourke won't be different you better think again Go to Bidens sight and that will change your mind he only hope we have is i the people down south vote republican and we keep the Senate Lou

He was not comparing the retail availability of TP to exercising our 2A.
He was comparing the panic buying of TP to the panic buying of ammo and reloading supplies.

And I am pointing out if the senate is lost what stuff you are talking about matters not ! What guns you have will be as useful as fence posts until fence posts are ruled to be assault weapons. Shortages, you ain’t seen nothing yet /Ed

I am sitting good on most supplies except for Large Pistol primers. If i load a lot of 45 Colt i will be out soon. No can find yet. My #10 or #11 caps and #209 primers i am good on. I dont shoot rifles that much any more. Now pistols is another subject all together.

I tried to find more H4895 and discovered the same store just obtained 2 more lbs. I bought these and drove the long drive to pick them up. The shelves were bare as before; just the price tags adorned the racks. I make no comparisons, just a myopic observation of what is.

I spend most of my time on glocktalk. Im very shocked how many here were NOT even aware of the gun, ammo, powder, primers, brass shortages (more like non-existent) that started last March. Everything has been bare every since. Massive long lines at gun shops that are still going on, but at a smaller level to get in the door still exists. Rural Kings (like a farm n fleet) have not had ammo in 6 months, along with all the little hunting shops, mom and pops gun shops etc are just wiped out. Buds guns and online shops are just gutted. Have not seen pistol or rimfire at my cabelas in 6 months either, not counting the 41 mag bear load on the shelf. My only shortage is 209 primer and would like to pick some blackhorn. Headed to wally world, hoping to get some blackhorn.

Just got back from my LGS and got 2 more comtainers BH209 and was for the 1st time limited to 1000 CCI 209 s , last visit got 4000 no problem so yup it is coming here too/1/Ed
