I am going to set up one of my .504 White Whitetails strictly for Colorado antelope and possibly mule deer. I shoot 460 grain No Excuses in my elk gun but am looking for an accurate lighter bullet and one that has good expansion on antelope. Bullets that I'm thinking may work are Powerbelts, Hornady Great Plains 285 and Bullshop 340 FN. Anyone have experience with these or other bullets on antelope or deer? Thanks!

Hornady 350gr FPB shoot lights out in my thunderbolt

If you plan to go with PowerBelts, I would recommend either the Platinum or ELR bullet. Another option that I would highly recommend is the 250 grain Thor Lightning. We have had incredible results with that bullet and it is Colorado legal. For your reference, I will include a link to a ballistic gel video that we made featuring PowerBelt and Thor bullets.

Can you use a sabot in Colorado? No Excuse offers sabot style bullets.
