Built my self an AR-10 chambered in 243 Winchester. I'm perplexed by the fact that it is shooting 6 inches high at 100 yds. I have the scope mounted with a Vortex 1 pc. AR mount and it's kind of high. If I remount with normal rings and bring the scope down will this solve my issue or make it worst?

Sounds like you have a mount with too much MOA built in?

Is that 6" high in the center of the scope adjustments, or with the elevation cranked all the way down?

I would try a new mount with less or 0 MOA built in.

Cranked all the way down. I tried researching the mount and from what I can find it is a zero moa mount. I built a flat top so I will see if I can get it in a set of medium rings.
