I noticed that I cast in roughly 100 each time I pour. Anybody else noticed that?

I am into large quanities my self as it is a great way to store lead and practice compression casting ! /Ed

I do make exceptions, if it’s one of my Well proven Bullets i will Cast up a Little Quantity of them. And Like these little .30 Cals, I cast them of Lyman #2 Alloy, that is the ONLY thing i use Lyman #2 For, So when i cast those, I might as well cast a BUNCH. Speaking of which, I need to get back on the .30s and Cast a PILE of them :lewis:

When I cast I normally will cast about 500 to 1000 at a time then I won't cast for a while. A couple years ago I casted up 1400 or 1500 I don't remember. I had a couple friends that wanted some.

I can see the sense in that. If/when i start reloading for my 30-30 i probably will cast larger batches. I have a lot of brass saved up for it.

I had a 75 count pour this afternoon. 25 paper patch, 25 GG conical both for my 45 GM LRH. Plus an extra 25 450 grain for my 45-70 Sharps. The muzzleloader bullets are pure lead and the rifle bullets are 1-20.
