Ingramjets,
sorry for the delay in thanking you for the input. Medical issues have sucked up all of 22 but almost out of the woods now! I got some of the OxYoke wonder wads in 50 cal, someone told me or I read to ise an oversized wad, but a 54 wad aint gonna fit down a 50 bbl. You cut your own wads? If so where can one obtain a punch to do that, TOW or some place like Grainger? So confusing…

a .54 wad actually will fit down the .50 bore. I use a .50 wad in my .45s often. It just gets bunched up but it fits and seals better. Just shove it in there and let the bullet flatten it out.

I had drawn a limited entry antelope hunt years back and couldn’t get my rifles shooting as well as I wanted so I grabbed my Knight Disc Elite. Left the house at 8:00 a.m. and was home by 11:00 a.m..

Thanks MrTom! Wild horses were walking within yards of us while I was dressing it out. It was quite a memorable hunt. Antelope are my favorite big game animal to hunt. Too bad it takes a lifetime to get a tag where I live. Sorry the photo is blurry.

The load used for the antelope was 95 grains (volume) 777 FFF, 300 grain Speer Gold Dot, MMP Sabot, Remington Cleanbore primer. Didn’t know what hit him. DIT.

I have a .52 Disc Extreme, shooting Saboted bullets i use a 400 grain Hawk bullet .475 dia magenta sabot in front of 100 grains of T7 2F. Its a thumper but holds MOA to 200 yards. Here in Western PA most shots are under 75 yards. This gun is also deadly accurate with a 510 grain 20-1 cast bullet from accurate mold 52-510M, I use real black for this, felt wad under the bullet, sized to .522, 110 grains of Swiss 1.5, also a thumper load.
