Big fish and little boat

I went Sturgeon fishing last week. My wife went with me on her ISUP.

I have a lot of video's on fighting them in these small boats. They normally drag me around a bit. I sometimes turn on the motor and return the favor.

Now that’s a fish! What I was catching yesterday would pass as bait for those giants . I’ve caught quite a few on the Columbia river they sure give you a workout

how old is a fish that large??? its a shame they aren't in the south east like in the past... when i was in school in Birmingham, Al. I saw a photo of a sturgeon taken from the cahaba river in the 1800's that was bigger than the men who killed it! (guess our clean energy took the place of them?)

Wow! That looks like fun. I had the privilege of eating a sturgeon steak once. Probably the best fish I ever ate.

Just guessing but around 50 years old. We had some in our hatchery when I was working at the trout farm. Our fish in our hatchery ponds were over 50 years at that size. But wild fish have more opportunity to eat.

This fish is bigger but my wife wasn't there to take pictures. This one jumped 4 times.
