Black powder pistols wear on you. In a good way. Doubtful this will be the last one you own.

Nothing prettier than a polished up brass 58. Great guns, too. Cant wait to see it shooting! I, too, see more of them in your future.

Yeah sorry. Ive been away for a bit. Its a Remington 1858. Probably made by Pieta or Uberti. Both make nice repro's. Any proof marks on the barrel should indicate who made it. Have you shot it yet?

No markings that I could find on it. I haven't shot it because I don't have any balls,patches for it. I also need to get a revolver nipple wrench and get the cylinder cleaned up. I have it well oiled sitting in the safe until I get a chance to do that. Been working on getting my new to me percussion rifles ready for hunting season.
